Solo or group with 5 necros in the nest drake eggs mission.

Fire exp wont be good at all after 71 and will be over loaded.

Might want to group in the new expansions to get spells. But getting 75 should come before getting spells becuase spells are going to be easier to get at 75 than at 70 and you get all your AAs for this expansion done faster.

Who will be the first to 75?

Need to identify some new instances in TSS with non-summoning snarable lvl 75+ trash in it...

72 should only take a day, after that it really depends on good spots with better mob levels.

I expect the instanced nest and 69.1's to be heavily utilized for knocking out 75. Even tho mobs are only 72ish in lvl they will still be in the exp bonus range. Unless some other zones are found as Xis pointed out. Tho SoE seems to be cutting down on kitable mobs in each expansion.

I'm a necro dammit I dont want to have to group unless I want to.

I see myself grinding 69.1 nonstop till 75.

Who will be to 75 first? I can answer that with great certainty. Not me:)

Answer:

Jeb
a
siz

Not even sure if he actively plays anymore, but I cannot bring myself to believe anything else. If by chance he is not the one to 75, which I doubt, you can find me home crying with EQ off, questioning all I believe to be sacred.

Keep in mind, when I came to know of Jeb he was the l33t-zors uberz-one.

End of story.

Rock on necros!!

I believe 69.1 will be terribly slow after a level or two, and if you don't seek out higher level mobs it will suck. That is if the current mobs stay the same level there up to 75. It remains to be seen if SOE will allow instances to scale up to level 75 or not.

Why would you say that? In fact without new spells I don't see why anything but 69.1 would be the best to xp? Assuming in the new expansion mob hp is upped quite a bit it may be faster or at worst just as good to xp in 69.1. A lot like how now in fire you can gain the same xp as 69.1 if you have the spots all to yourself because even though it's less xp per kill with the much less hp on mobs you can kill many more mobs faster giving you the same total xp.

There's no reason why 69.1 shoudl be bad xp being as it's in the 5 level bonus range. I can't see why a new expansion spot would be any better at least without any new spells as you won't get the power increase to keep up with increased hp. Meaning your spending more mana but getting more xp per kill.

I would not waste my time in a race to get to 75 unless the TSS AAs suck.

Tthat's why you bank 30 before launch, most likey the really good ones will be 75 required to cap out anyways.

I don't disagree with what your saying. Considering my gear and very limited flagging, soloing 69.1 is the best bet. If your willing to wait a month or two im sure other better more effecient places to level will become available. Myself, im looking to be at 75 when the zones are discovered so I can use them to hopefully improve my gear and grind more alts. Playing on a PvP server level make a difference, as well as gear, on how well you can compete. Nothing sucks worse then being 4 levels lower then the other guys, its bad enough being a Nec of equal level in todays enviroment:)

Plus I would rather grind harder in a 69.1 to get to 75 so I can take advantage of other zones before the get nerfed like Sabotage. I missed that bandwagon and don't intend to be in that boat again. So hard hrinding is a better option then waiting IMHO.

best reason to bank AA's is because of the crappy new system you keep hearing about with AA's taking longer to earn.

Personally I would rather kite in the newer zones then 69.1 better chance at the Sony screw-ups with loot tables making random zone loot more common on first week of new expansions.

That is pessimistic optimism at it's best... How's that for an oxymoron!

Another trick is to get max level then die and get max level then die and max out the level again. Make sure there is plenty rez timer on the first corpse and when the server goes up after patch get them rezed and ding and get alot of exp for the next level.

I wouldn't try that ... too many hearsay reports of people losing corpses because the patch wiped them off the face of Norrath for me to want to risk that.

you don't have to leave the gear on the corpses, they stay if you don't get a res, all you'd lose is the time from making the corpses

but the res timer is only like 3 hours right? you could get maybe a free 15-20% at most with that really

think i will kill some blues to get to 71 and then explore the new zones for a bit.

Actually I found 69.1 pretty decent spot overall. 70-73 was pretty fast. There is a noticable decline from 73-74. I was seeing about .5% regular at 73. I expected another decline in 74 because they went from white to blue con. Even though they changed to blue my experience has held constant. With upgrades in Lich and other spells, 74 has gone quicker then 73.

I hunted a little bit in Iceglacier doing the bears. They have a TON more hitpoints. While they are red and yellow I was still able to experience faster in 69.1 because the bears had so many more hitpoints they put a real hurt on my mana pool to drop them. I will go back for the quest bracers after I ding 75.

69.1 is a pretty solid path IMHO to grind to 75. Will it be entertaining? No my numbing pain is what it is, but if you looking for a fast avenue to 75 its not bad.

Agree.

However AA XP sucks in 69.1 now sigh.

69.1 was a great place to grind to 75. You should be able to consistently grind out a full level in around 5hours there as long as you non-stop kite. When I joined a group exp slowed down alot, but it was alot funner killing 8 or 9 mobs at a time as opposed to 1 or 2 hehe. I never tryed it, but from what people told me the nest started to crap out at around 72.

Most of the mobs in the nest are like 69-72 arent they? I think 69.1 missions are 71-74. With the occasional 68-70 lookouts.

I got 32% of 73 in about 2 hours in Direwind at the rats camp, EVERY mob was red to me at 73, and yellow to the 75's in group. Lot of hps, but wasnt too bad. Fun camp.

Direwind grind groups and Icefall also get you the chance of getting some loot. Picked up a 200/200 belt, and a 90 mana aug there 2days ago while grouping, also saw maybe 9 spells drop in the 3 hours i was there.

All the mobs in 69.1 hard are 73, with the exception of the two lookouts that were DB at level 70...not really sure exactly what level they are, but I'd guess 69 or 68

Yah problem is blues gave crap for AA xp. Although I didn't have a chance to AA xp much since last patch.
