Dot effects?

Alright heres the deal. My friend is a druid and he has a cool little armpiece that he got for like nothing that casts a fairly good dot for no mana. Ive looked around but i cant seem to find anything similer for necros. We are supposed to be good at doting right? Why does he get somethin like this and we dont. The only ones i saw were like epic and planer armour. I dont think i could do either (im 53 but not in an uber guild). Does anyone know about anything like that for a necro? I know it isnt amazingly important cause of conversions but its nice for weak things and to have another dot i can stick on without meming it. Thanks.

Mob that drops it isn't exactly soloable, not by any means, but it does have very nice stats and a clicky Splurt on it.

I was very surprised and disappointed when i looked at our choices of clicky gear.

Of course the first place to start was the velious quest gear. I saw that alot of classes got heals, buffs, nukes and dots. Although they were relatively low powered for 50+ gear, FREE IS FREE. I especially liked the idea of casters getting lower level damage spells as a clicky. Until I looked at necro gear. WTF happened there? Could they possibly compile a list of crappier effects to put on gear?

The only two things i had any use for at all was legs with augment and robe with conjure corpse. By the time i got the silk legs to drop i already had augmentation, which is by far better. So legs got MQd to a lower level guildy. I do have the robe, which i keep for raids, but mostly its just one more piece of crap hogging up inventory space.

Some of the other clicky gear I have come across wasnt worth my time IMO. Alot that has a good effect has horrible stats. Those with good stats have an almost unusable effect. The few pieces actually worth the time and effort to get are impossible for me to even get close to acquiring.

O well, guess I'll just have to be happy in the knowledge that I belong to a class that doesnt need clickies to be powerful.

BTW did some necro in a past life put a serious hurting on the EQ Devs? Is there a grudge?
