Hope someone can answer this for me

I currently have a skill of 188 in brewing. When I try and use the new ui, There is only 1 recipie listed above 188. I did a search for more but it came up empty (I typed in minotaur hero's brew and some others :( ). Is the ui broken or do I need to be a higher tradeskill level before anymore will show up?

This is from EQ Traders Corner (http://www.eqtraders.com)

Some recipes will automagically show up in your tradeskill container when you open the new interface, others will be added to the interface after you "learn" them by making a successful combine using the proper recipe. (Please note that there's still more tweaking and tuning to be done to which recipes are automagic versus which ones are learned, so you may not see everything that you expect for the first little while). Items that are considerably above your skill level will not be displayed.

Basically, there will always be some recipes that you need to learn yourself through a sucessful combine anyway, and it's a safe bet that the high level ones will be least likely to 'automagically' be listed.

Yup, for pretty much every combine I have done I've had to make the item first, then search for the recipe, then start clicking away. Once you get the recipe just add it to your favorites list and it will pop up every time you open a brew barrel.

There are a lot of combines that are stupidly mis-marked. They say you learn them, but you can't.

F'rinstance: I can't learn a single alchemy potion that was in game before PoP... which is most of them.

Buddy asks for 10 10-dose Blood of Wolf potions. I tell him with the new interface, it should take 5 mins, tops!

Nope.

Thanx for the responses. I tried it out and it worked. I guess I should do more research before opening my mouth hehe :P .

Lots of strange things about the new UI, I use the deluxe tool boxes in my bank., but now if I put them on my person they are empty, (i.e. you can't really see what's inside.) I can put the tool box in my bank and it opens up and I see what's inside. This creates problems for me cause I use my research book as a bag I carry around, and did so also with a deluxe sewing kit. So doesn't that kinda make them worthless? as carrying items? and if so, its really going to screw up how I store things.

It's easy to see what is in the boxes you are carrying on you, when you open them and they show the new ui, just click on the 'experiement' button and it shows the goods you are carrying around inside the box. It seems as a nice bonus that when you are using the new ui it doesn't matter if the box contains other items you were carrying around, you won't have to rearrange all your bags to try a combine.

As for finding spells, although it is still not completely worked out, once you learn a recipe it should be there. Be careful of the name of the recipe, because sometimes the technical name is not the most commonly used. Also, there is a limit to the number of recipes that will be displayed at once. Reduce the number of recipes by narrowing the trivial level, for example, and you may see options that you had not previously.

Best thing to do when you use tradeskill containers to carry stuff is to click the box on the tradeskill UI that says "open with control right click."

Then when you just right click you get the "old" interface and can see what you have in it, and the tradeskill UI is still only one click to open.
