K, I'll share the one I found so far.

In Icefall, if you go northeast from the Steppes zone in there is a cave full og polar bears that con white-yellow at level 75, don't summon, hit about as hard as drachnids in the hive, have very low resists, and if you pull them out of the cave there is plenty of room to kite them. Best exp I've found so far, and there are a couple quests you can do while getting exp.

You guys find any good spots yet? I saw some people kiting in Direwind? What's up there?

for direwind, depending on your level, there are some nice spots- the basic idea is to get yellow mobs if you can. at 75, solo anyway, I like the plant mobs (root of the black oak? someting like that) near the wandering giant treant thing. they hit for around 1550, are fast, and have i'd guess around 60k hp- resists are small aside from the usual snare BS, mobs are already for the most part split and nothing sees invis- they give about 20% aaxp per kill. The nearby wolves, which are also easy, give around 9-12% iirc.. still decent considering the amount of effort involved.

basically everything in the zone trashy is soloable, the bears had an annoying stun, the gnolls/shrooms can be annoying casters, and the ratcallers are, while simply insane exp, best left to the groups. (you'd be blessed to find that camp open anyway, at least on AB). the orcs outside of ashengate summoned as well but weren't a terribly hard solo.

two kinds of mobs near frostcrypt were soloable as well- the oozes and the LESSER (that's important) spider types. they both hit rather hard, and the other mobs can hit in the mid 2ks so it's maybe not for everyone. (they had a sizeable amount of hp too)

that's about all i can think of atm, as i am usually grouped with my guildmates for task stuff anyway.

in icefall i also like to kite the mamoths near the middle of the zone. decent kite spot just north of em. also in icefall there is an area off to the east that you take 1 of 2 paths to get to thats full of gobbies but take the southern path to them no mobs and a few in the north path see invis.

All good places. I kinda like the mammoths in Icefall myself. Blue on the flats, but white and yellow ones spawn by the pools in the valley-area below.

And don't write off light blues if zones are crowded. They're easier to kill and still give 4%AA each.

Seems to be like 4%, 11%, 15%, 19% solo on mobs ... going from light blue - yellow.

mammoths have way too many hit points...Roots of the Dark Oak in direwind all the way...

Do the Roots also drop the Ash Swatches? I need a couple yet for my legs mold that dropped.

Roots of the Black Oak are the best kiting I've seen in TSS so far. I haven't parsed but HP seems substantially lower than reds and yellows in icefall, and they are all red cons so far. They do run fast, so if snare breaks it won't be easy to get on again. There isn't a ton of room to kite either. Occasionally you will have to wait for the Black Oak himself to wander away (assuming he assists the Roots, I didn't feel like finding out). Doesn't seem to be camped like icefall bears either.

zone into Icefall and head east, there is a narrow valley that eventually leads to a plateau with a bunch of goblins in tents, you cna kite these, or go past them to a ramp that leads to another valley with 8-10 spiders (red to 73), plus some caves with some icicle golem mobs. with a decent group can clear spiders + goblins. solo can clear spiders + golems + start some gobbies. Haven't seen anything worth mentioning drop yet.
Low resists and my spell line up is...
Dread Pyre
Curse of Mortality
DN
Pyre of Mori
Corrath Venom
Chaos Venom
then refresh
Dread Pyre
Curse of Mortality

and MOB is dead, can easily kite 2-3 at same time, spiders are very slow

Found a good place in Direwind Cliffs. NorthWest area, a bunch of Direwind Clan ratcallers, and Direwind Clan ratkins. This is the place where Axxanderan's Animated Remains paths around. He is quite easily avoided, faily small aggro range.

With myself, a 72 nec, and a 71 Cleric fartin around for a couple hours here the exp was good. We figured they were on par with nest mobs. Best thing, I don't recall getting casted on once. The ratcaller will on occasion bring forth a batch of little plague rats. FD and they despawn after a few moments. The ratkin change form from the gnoll looking guy to a bigass rat quite often during the kite. Snare resists were average, other spells landed really well.

Drops here were cruddy thou. We got 2 RkII spells, neither were necro or cleric. Other than that we got low level gems, a totem of sorts on almost all kills, and some other quest crap. Did find one Shadowspire Diamond which was vendor fodder.

Anyone have a general zone location for the Roots of the Black Oak? I roamed the zone a bit and didn't see them.

These things are a lot harder to kill when your line up is

Curse of Mortality
Dark Nightmare
Night Fire
Blood of Thule
Severan's Rot

And Chaos Plague/Funeral Pyre

At 73, Still cant get people to do the 69/70 dodh arc missions to finish them, and all i need is the last one of each. Kinda sucks. That and get get any 69/70 runes to save my life either.

Bah!

Cant wait till 74/75 to be able to actually get a new freakin dot.

Playing on test mostly at off hours I don't have anywhere near the gear or spells a lot of necros do. So I tend to go for easier, or lower level targets. I've been grinding 70 to almost 75 in Sunderock Springs at the zone in from Mesa. The high desert basilisks and drakes give about 1% regular xp per kill (with test's 2x XP mod). Not the greatest xp but pretty easy to kite even for me. They're level 70 and will stay dark blue through 75. The only downside is they literally don't drop anything at all, not even trash vendor loot.

Try the bears in Icefall, I have been parsing my damage, and at 73, They were blue-red to me. On the young ones, I did about 40k dmg with spells, and not sure about pet. cant get JALP to put in his dmg for some reason.

Thanks for the info. I found the mammoths easier to pull than the bears so have been XPing on those for the last couple days. Lots of HPs but doable and better xp than Sunderock.

I did valdelholm the other night near the FrostCrypt entrance, and that seemed like really decnet exp. I didn't encounter any of the "non-lesser" spiders that were mentioned, but I did try to mess with the Kitty cat that wanders up and down the ramp that turned out to be a summoner, but luckily he only hit for like 1400 max. From my parses it looked like the mobs only had about 60k hp, and there was plenty of room to kite. I got anywheres from 11%-13% AA a kill, and that was running 90/10. I think I like this alot better than Icefall because there is literally no one in this zone most the time.

I have yet to try/find the kite spot in Direwind, so dunno how it compares to that...but I know there is always 70 friggin people in direwind so screw that.

i pretty much hate the roots camps because the wandering raid mob severly limits my pulls. i only managed 1.5AAs when trioing while using lesson. at 70 in 69.1 that was at 4. plus it seems to be heavily camped all the time. the kiting in valdeholm near frostcyrpt is good but the mobs are too low for it really to be worth it. however it is very easy constant kiting.

im still looking for that "golden spot" for kiting in this expansion. one that isnt heavily camped that is. i wish they would make more high lvl kite friendly instances. thats where the good stuff is

I've given up soloing anywhere in tss due to the high number of people in the zones.I was lucky the first few days after launch to kite my way to 75 in icefall, but these days there are at least a hundred other kiters there.

1.Hate 100 other people in zone
2.Hate the /ooc drama
3.Hate finding a "camp" to kite in

People also need to be careful not to draw too much attention to our ability to agro kite mobs in these zones. The devs allready are thinking of ways to reduce this ability and we dont need other class whiners talking about how we can solo 70ish zones.
I wish there were more single request instance zones like vxed but for 75s.

I'm back after a LONG LONG break, gonna be grinding my necro from 70-75, and the enchanter from 65-75,

What kinda changes have gone in to spells? Anything out there to be aquired easier than when OOW just came out?

TSS rank 1 spells are purchaseable, and many other spells (LDoN, GoD & Omens, for example) have been made researchable - might be pricy, but can be bought/made. So very much easier to aquire.

what is a better place to kite, deep in vergalid or efreeti in jewel?

I think Efreeti are, and they probably don't have as many hP as the mob in Verg.

Efreeti are far better than Verg, in my opinion.

Trick with the efreeti is the warping. My efreeti lord, the warping. You can get the hang of it, and once you do it's sweet like candy. Not to mention the vendor trash is great for makin plat. And if you haven't got your spectre mask, that's somethin to work towards as well. Took me over a month to get all the pieces for my necro though, so settle in for a long kite. Still haven't gotten the last piece for my ranger. It is gettin to be a popular zone on Quellious though (grrr). But this is the zone I figure I'll be breaking 75 with my necro and ranger in.

if ya having trouble with gettin peices, kite the hide and seek katta mission, have regular drops for the mask
