They discovered us quite a bit ago. Please use the report button to make sure a mod sees the spam post right away.
I'll leave it up to Umbrello to discuss any security changes that are in the works. Right now email verification is required, problematic IPs and email are banned.

I'm working on this as time permits.

Looking at end-of-october for a fix to this problem(and more), so please be patient. I know this spam can be quite frustrating, however, you only have to suffer for 2-3 more weeks :)

If you don't bother them, they won't bother you. ;)

Gah I am deleting them as fast as I see em :P They don't live long on this board except for those that come in the middle of the night which I clean up in the morning (and the other mods). Think it really only is the night (midnightish to about 8am my time) hours where we don't have great mod coverage to get rid of said spam.

I promise you Umbrello has some changes in the works, but I don't believe he has found a proper timeline for implementation.

we need a universal kill bots button. It's hunts them down on the web and send a small electricla charger to the owner of the keyboard. Sure, they can keep typing, but keep getting jolted! muhahahaa.

The report button hasn't worked for a long time, specifically, I don't believe it has worked since we moved to a new host in June. Umbrello is planning on some big changes and this issue will be fixed then.

IF you need to report something, please send a PM to myself or Aryse. Felicite (the queen of all) I am sure would be fine as well since she checks the board fairly regularly. I am not sure how availlable Schaeffer and Usul are at the moment.

(there.. I fixed it for you. =p)

on my guild's website you can't post a link if you have less than 10 total posts. Maybe even 15.

That's probably a function available on that particular forum type...cool idea, not sure its doable here, but then I don't know much anyway
