68 necro here, was looking at the LDoN spells and saw Horror, which looks to be pretty sweet. My question is if I get this, am I gonna have an upgrade to it later that will be on the same timer, thus preventing its use?

That really hasn't been an issue for nearly a year and a half now. It does share the same recast timer as Dark Nightmare (67) and Curse of Mortality (72), but the recast is only 6 seconds, as opposed to the 24 that the line used to have, so it's really a non-issue now. Worst case scenario, in a dot stacking situation, cast a different dot between 2 spells that share the same timer (ie. Horror, <some other dot>, Dark Nightmare).

What Xelg said is correct, and his advice is quite sound, with regards to spell casting order.

If only we all could be as wise as Xelgadis.

OK, I really didn't put this right in my initial question. Very sorry. I can only plead that it was early in the morning and my head wasn't on straight. What I meant was does this spell have an upgrade that if cast on a mob, it will be over-written? Embracing Darkness will overwrite Dooming Darkness on a mob that they are cast on. Heart Flutter will be overwrriten by Grip of Mori. Just want to make sure if I put in the time for Horror, that I'm not gonna get a spell at 71 that will make it useless.

And thank you for the quick reply to my initial question. I can't believe I put it so wrongly though. Again, sorry.

Horror will stack with the rest of our magic based line,no need to worry.Just be aware some necros are a little suprised when they see how often horror is resisted.

Every necromancer DoT stacks with all of every other necromancer's DoT's, except two lines:

Snares (which you already know)

and

Asystole/Grip of Mori line (they dont stack because of their debuff component)

Hope that clears things up.

And the lifetap over time DoTs, and the Scent resist debuff lines, and (currently bugged I hope) the Vakk`Dra's Pr DoT.
