I usually solo and such....but maybe its just because I end up getting Pled (against my will and better judgement I SWARE!!! ) But I am wondering how long it takes average...minus the PLing going on.
Have an Iksar Necro...is 19th now and been playing IN GAME for 1day and 58min

This really varies a LARGE amount depending on your experience.
Complete newbie, first character, only solo..... count on a LONG haul.
If you have had several other characters, know all the ins and outs and where to hunt, then it wouldn't take you long at all, but most people with experience get powerleveled. ;)

well... PLing (with a 55 dr00d) I can get a character to lvl 24 in 3 hours, 30 in 6 hours... at 30 I take over and start working on their abilities and such, never really PL'd beyond that point.
But, if you're exp grinding on your own... which is what I did with my necro.
Right now I'm 47 days old with a level of 55 1/2... I screw off a lot, so if you stick to it you could probably get into the 50s in 20 days or so??? That's on your own, no groups at all...

I'd say don't worry about it: most people I know who treated the game as a race to 65 got bored fast and quit. I've spent a lot of time exploring, doing quests, helping newbies and other non-grinding things, taken me two years to get to 60 (though I also have a 52 Mage, 36 Monk, and various alts in the teens, 20s and 30s), but a lot more fun than grind, grind, grind.
Think I have about 48 days /played, but much of that was as a Bazaar trader.

Without the PLing and a itty bit of cash for spells, my times went something like this.
1-2: 10 mins
2-3: 15 mins
3-4: 25 mins
4-5: 30 mins
5-6: 40 mins
6-7: 45 mins
7-8: 1 hour
8-9: 1 hour 15 mins
9-10: 1 hour 25 mins.
Note: This is only an avergae well educated guess. Self only buffs, sitting for med etc, deaths, CR, selling etc.
Roughly, I did it pretty liesurely. Anyone who seriously was twinked and had the cash for spells etc could do 1-10 in roughly 2 hours time or less total. And this was all in Steamfount Mountains.

My first post I hope to make it a good one. I agree 100% with Nigyl, don't worry about it. I have a 56 druid whose birthday is Jul 99, and my Necro just hit 59 its the highest level character I've ever had ( gonna take him to 65 finally). PLing and racing in levels makes me wonder why those folks even play the game. Take the time to learn the character, enjoy the people you encounter and the quests available. Tactics, tradeskills, economy and adventuring are all fun parts of the game to learn and get involved with, don't rush it. Level at your own pace where you can learn what your doing and have fun too. Oh yeah I also have 57 cleric, 53 warrior, 53 enchanter, 53 ranger, 52 mage, 31 wizard and a few lower level rogues and monks. Of course deleted a few to make room and sac'd a few for EEs.
Enjoy the game, the name fits EVERquest ;)

I agree with enjoying the content when you first start off. Don't rush unless there is a reason.
I usually PL a character up to 30. Why? Because I've been there, done that and don't want to repeat it. People PL for various reasons (some are good). I don't agree or disagree with it but when I first started I really just enjoyed the content of the game and when I return, I'll have to journey back through 'old' and 'new' content. Will I PL a character? Yes, because all my friends are in their 50's but I'll have a toon that will glide through the lower levels slowly so that I can check them out. It's a huge game and I highly doubt there are people who have done EVERYTHING although there might be some that come close.
As was said, enjoy the game the first time around.

I hear a lot of people say that they often get 50 with a necro in 5 days game time.
I myself just went over that with about 5 days and 6 hours and I'm only level 41. I'm not sure where to hunt and I often get bored after earning one gold bubble.

Personaly I am at 55 in 7 days. That was extreme hard core grinding. It did help i had about 150-200k to spend on necro though he wasnt a twink really since all the cash i made was just from bazaar buying selling this is my main character. I quit half way through leving him for a year though so dont remember where i went at which lvl so not much help but it can be done just takes some work. Think I went FoB kurns PC JP DL Echo PoJ PoN hope that helps.

Well my necro is my second toon... First was a ranger. It took me a little while to get the ranger to 54, but being my first character I had to learn everything. After I knew the good spots to level I started the necromancer... I play a few hours a day during the week... less on the weekends... 1-50 in 10 days played 51-64 in another 12 days played... I grouped mostly until 44 then mostly solo'd the next 20 levels.
