Man i fucking hate it when someone with a lotta pp goes and makes a new charater. They deck em out in uber armor and then here is the best part, they still loot! I was playing with a bard a few days ago and she was in all uber armor and some sword (forget the name) that costs around 4000pp in bazaar. I myself am broke. So anyway she is looting everything and when I ask here about it she gets all defensive and leaves. Another thing that ticks me off is that all these high lvl ppl come into Newbie areas and kill newb mobs. I mean I do it to but if someone is around and trying to get some lvls have some fucking common sense. It really pisses me off when they do it for no reason other than boredem.

Know the feeling...visited the Zerker board...saw a lvl 42 Zerk Magelo link, damn, half his gear he couldn't get full stats on due to level requirments and most was better than my 2 year effort for a lvl 58 Necro.......hmmm, zerks are what, 1 week now.

Aint this the truth. Same thing happened to me.

Grouped with a Nec, War, Clr and Rng in HHK a few weeks ago and went on a good rampage through GR and LR and some of WR and RR when it was free. The Warrior is all decked out in droppable Uber plane gear or something, has a pair of 10k swords and told us he had around 400k in the bank. On top of that, he loots just about everything that we killed. Sword, plat (no split) and words etc were ALL taken by him.
The cleric gets a bit pissed since shes still in her newb armor (In fact, I am too, but its going alright for me, so im saving) and /gsays that he needs to stop taking everything. I can tell shes not all that wealthy since she buys her spells a level or two late than she should and didnt have a few utilities. Me, im alright since I spent a week clearing out Misty and killing guards for spears as well as doing the quests, looting, selling everything etc, so im a little under half a K.
The warrior states he needs all that he can get since hes the tank. This is when the whole group jumps down his back and says that it would be fairer if the cleric got more than half the loot since her spells would be keeping him alive in 30 or so levels. He disagrees, then splits.
About an hour later, other Nec gets a tell that the same warrior is ninja-looting everything thats there as well. Even when we petitioned the GM, he said that it was legal, as well as stating that the first looter would be entitled.
Seriously, I understand what you mean. This incident pretty much screwed with everyones heads that morning. Dont worry, youll get your own when you get the right group. Infact, if you ASK the group to loot weaps or just P and leave everything else for them, they will most likely agree and respect you for asking beforehand.
All in all, my 2 cp, just dont worry about it, keep playing and youll find out that perseverance as well as patience with those dumb asses out there will pay off.

Last Ninjalooter I had in a group......I went to the server's ezboard and blasted him in RnF. Was some over-twinked Shaman with top of the line Drogmar.

Had quite a few replies defending him.....most were new or anon posters all linked to the same IP......his mistake, proved my point even more.

BTW, he server transferred or deleted and started over again.....haven't seen him since his /guildremove.

Revenge is sweet.

I was in warrens doing faction hits so I could get a key to The Hole, a noob sk asked why I was killing all the mobs. I told her that I was after faction hits and that she could keep the loot. Needless to say, she got most of the items for her noob armor, a few nice drops from the named and almost a shield from the froggy mob.

I had to do the same thing in Nektulos some time back when I became KoS to the Indigo Brotherhood due to some Guild Epic groupings. Man, what a pain doing all those stupid rat whisker hand-ins just so I could do the Raider Helms and bone chip & beetle eyes to buff my faction back up.

I passed out Robes of Wings to all the noob casters and let anyone who wanted to loot as long as I got what I needed for faction.....lots of happy DEs, all running around looking like Najena.

Though not really needing it, it is nice to be able to return to your home city without an entire Guild chasing you through the streets.

I do the Warrens for faction also, everytime I pass through and I /ooc for permission. If they say yes, I wipe the entire zone in my path to SBM as I am heading to Gunthak and beyond.....free loot for everyone.

Aye it is frustrating to be sure when u have to deal with Ninja looters.
One reason I solo quite a bit, but aside from plat for spells, food and regents.
Necros really do not NEED uber gear. Now before ya scream Tell me what other class Aside from Monks can kill and kill effiecntly totally naked? Us that's it. We're less effiecent than we are geared to be sure but not helpless. With our mana regen spells, taps, fears, movement slows all ya really NEED are bonechips. Don't get me wrong gear is great but it does'nt define us That warrior cannot do the same.

I agree with the post about not needing gear, but at the same time, at the higher levels.....I feel more like a "utility" player than a "power" player. I feed mana to those that need it, I have played LDoN adventures at level 64 where I am the healer, YES I AM THE HEALER. With a Pally tank, chanter slowing, a rogue, and mage/wizzy combo I have done many adventures this way. The named drop in 10sec or less, it is really no problem and has been the fastest way I have gone through adventures. At the higher levels gear IS what makes you the person everyone wants in their group. I get insta-tells when I'm lfg/lfa and in many cases asked to leave current group to join someone else. Your gear will be what lets you kite 7-10 mobs around in HoH GY with ease and allow you to handle 3 Razorfiends at at time in PoV with out going below 90% mana. With the defensive AAs along with some decent gear you will be able to take the minimum damage from PoP mobs hitting you, which will allow you to FD/Gate away to fight another day. I take pride in my gear even though most of it is droppable. I loot what I can while trying not to piss anyone off, but I'll not pass at loot just because I have good stuff now. For those of you that have had to do it, I just spent 40k in the last 5 days on spells alone. LDoN has some really nice stuff, and IMO the adventures are fun especially if you can get a consistent group of friends that you do em with.

I happen to be one of those people who twink the hell out of new characters... however.... I never and I mean *never* loot when I am grouped with people. I will take a split in a LDON, or if there is a class specific drop I will take it, but I never loot when I am grouped with others when I am on my twinked characters. I do not need the plat and I know that some other people could use it for upgrades and what not.

I agree, I never did understand crazy twinked people looting tiger fur or something like that.

My necro is my 3rd char to 65 and as such I am a pretty well off as far as the game is concerned. Most of my high level gear for my necro I got with my other high levels and never even considered looting ANYTHING till he was like 50+. I find it hard to swallow that there are players out there that twink their alt's and then loot in sub 50's groups. I think you will find on the whole that twinked players don't loot rather than loot everything. You just ahold of a real jerk is all.

well, I play a necro, and have earned some plat and brought some twink gear, but some of my stuff is hand-me-downs from friends which are higher lvl and now have planar gear now. But I don't have alot of plat, most of my plat has gone into research and starting work on skills for the shawl quest (and I farmed alot of the stuff rather than pay for it) so its very slow going at times. Though I don't loot every last kill I do try and loot some and look like a twinked character, but seldom have alot of plat. I did however farm enuf plat for a drogma....So looks are sometimes decieving, that's not to say I agree, I don't agree with anyone looting and not sharing for an exp group. I also hate it when I'm the only necro in a group and they won't give me the words for research or destory them!!!!!! no wonder we have a hard time finding words!!!
