Nest instances, 69.1 missions, creator DoN, undead mobs in regular nest, The Steppes, Icefall, Sunderock, Direwind, Plane of Fire tables.

Any one of those places will do you well.

if you can fire up an instance, there are any number of DoN or DoDh instances to choose from (really, you see guides all over the place for blackwings or 69.1 (does that need a guide??) but there are TONS of other ones out there, that'll keep you from getting bored too fast.)... If you are 'just' looking for grinding, i personally spent most of my time between lost gnomes, uninstanced nest, and the oft-overlooked qvic.

if you want a variety of missions, mostly for sanity reasons, rival party is a great alternative to blackwings, clues is a nice scenery change, the guilded scroll (creator-esque, soloable too but the boss -will- summon), and spider's eye (i think, i get names confused but if it's the one i am thinking of it's another nest instance where you explore the tunnels) are all ones that i did plenty of and can vouch for.

--- Dodh-wise, again for (barely!) sanity reasons, i'd suggest maybe going after tasks where a clicky you may want drops from? I sadly chose this route after i was maxxed, but things like Orb of Subversion are great inasmuch as there is another reward to reap other than just aa. a few FR/MR/CR tasks are soloable, probably more than half of them although soloable is a broad term these days. i am sure there is a list of which spell tasks are soloable, i can't remember them enough to say, haha. Lots of dodh are soloable, or at the very least have mobs that are kiteable, and i'm sure there is a guide here somewhere. Still, if you're just looking to grind, 69.1 or lost gnomes seem to be favorites.

I also mentioned qvic, which i don't know many necros to do at all. If you are flagged, secure a corner (such as between txevu and zoo) and start pulling mobs.. once you are used to the spawn cycles and the split patterns, it's a GREAT zone, mobs die very fast and are pretty good xp considering. Just remember, ukuns are fast and snare, ra`tuk's flurry and some enrage, ikaavs are casters and can range from magician, enchanter, or wizard, they will summon annoying pets (ukuns) for a brief period of time, and will become reflective nearing death.

(cont) Aneuks are either shaman or cleric, shamans are one of the most dangerous trash in the zone, and i'd highly advise dispelling them if you are able. (or just being careful). clerics, well, hopefully you are acquainted with LoS`ing tactics, and then they are as easy as anything else. Nocs are pretty fast and fairly resistant to disease/poison spells, they also ramp and can tear you up FAST. Kyv's are the worst, complete bastards, they are (1) fast, (2) powerful and (3) cast unresistable and super annoying arrow-spells nearing death.. one is a slow of some variety, one is a snare, and one is a spellslow/manadrain.
(that was more detail than necessary, but it really is an underappreciated zone)

Yxtta/vxed/tipt are other options, soloing in tipt is pretty fun if you can manage it (it's more or less the same as vxed, really), and at times far from boring, hehe.

Elddar forest animals and a few other things are good xp, but annoying, lower level TSS mobs should be ok (direwind wolves come to mind).

hope that's helpful :P

Icefall, Direwind, and Vergalid Mines are my top3 right now, in no particular order. To get to the good stuff in Vergalid you need to get a shard thing to drop, which takes some time. Also, the run down can be hazardous if poorly executed. Icefall and Direwind are pretty much nobrainer aggrokiting though, the possibility of 3k hitting named wandering up on you is probably the only complication you could ever face. Vergalid is a bit more of a pain, generally alot of FD splitting and frequent casters.

For me its been Icefall lately. Theres a nice spot you can pull Mammoth pretty much all day long. On your map it says something about being made by Latan of Saryn or something like that, youll want to camp just above that and to the left, with the mountains against your back. Obviously just keep em snared, but other than that they arent casters, dont summon, etc, so its pretty easy killing.

If you are going to do the Mammoths in Icefall, don't forget to head to Valdeholm and get some tasks from there. There are a few of the tasks that ask for the Icefall Mammoth Ivory and hides also iirc. It can't hurt to get a few nice augs and such while soloing. Not to mention the Lorekeeper Bracelet (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=52393) you can get by looting bear pelts (although these seem to have far more hp than the mammoths).
