Hi all, I am a lv 51 de nec, I am doing storm wave in dulak right now but I am getting less than 1% per kill, I am looking for a better place to hunt. I have tried places like bw and the fel guard's and they are no better, can anybody give me a idea where to go for a better %?

Thank you

51 is slow and it just gets slower up to 59 unless you solo in Tier-1 planes or group in Tier-2. You might do OK in a PoJ group, or might be able to aggro kite the mobs there if you're careful to avoid adds, but AFAIR I ground through 51 on the Stonegrabbers in DSP. Trivial to fear-kite, but the adds got annoying at times.

Thank you for the infi, I have tried to solo some spot's in tier 1 but the amount of hp's make it a slow way to go but I will try again, thank you again

Kill the gnome guards on the high side of Echo Caverns. In the down time, you can hit the taskmaster room, clear out the light blue trash and kill the skeletons, they are DB and easy once you slow them. About 25% an hour I'd say.

The Taskmaster is pretty easy too if he's up: the 49 pet could tank him without much trouble once he was slowed and I threw on a couple of DoTs.

TM is easy as pie. Clear the lower room, lull the first skelly on the right, pull with snare, wait till he follows you out of room, fear, send pet, re-fear, and wait for him to drop. He sopmetimes drops organs for the EB neck quest in Katta if you have the faction

Scarlet Desert on the plateau. Hunt the Sun Revenants and Sun Revears. Also the occasional named. They are considered undead. You can cast Rest the Dead for easier pulling to split them. They are slowable with our undead slow spell. The xp is nice and the money/items are nice.

I normally snare them, DOT them 2 times, and when at 90% I sick my pet on them and then just aggro kite them down. At 53 I can clear out the whole area, wait just a few minutes, and then do it again.

It gets even better when you get rogue pet and he can dish out a lot of damage from behind.

In addition, I am the only one in the whole zone about 90% of the time.

Good hunting.
Jos.

Where in the zone is this area? Is it safe from adds, and whats the best way to get there? How much exp/hour are you getting?

TIA!

No need to fear the taskmaster. I pull him with slow, sick pet, dooming darkness, undead DoT, throw out a couple undead nukes. He only takes my pet down to about 60% health if I dont nuke. That is the 44 pet too.

Rabekis, the plateau is in the NE part of the zone. If you are running towards it you cant miss it. The alien guys should not agro you once up on top but the sun mobs will. Single pulling them is not difficult at all.

Do you go, Nexus -> Netherbian -> Marus -> Mon -> Scarlet

Is that right?

Actually, I believe you start non-KoS to both. Or, at least, I did.

Nexus -> Netherbian -> Marus -> Mon -> Scarlet

Personally I go Echo -> Fungus Grove -> Twilight Sea -> Scarlet Desert, but you have to hope that invis doesn't drop in the wrong place in Fungus Grove, until you get the fixed duration invis at 55. It's still not too dangerous as most mobs are non-KoS and the aggro range on the shrooms is fairly small.

I'd also suggest that if you do go to Scarlet Desert you load up on your resist gear first: the Revenants have a DoT proc which I think is disease based, and the Reavers cast Necro spells.

Tried it last night, its decent, need to get the pull order down as those revenants are hard to see against the wall sometimes. I started dubious which helped, but found myself very close to mobs I didn't see standing there at first. Not too terribly hard, though they seem to have a lot of HP for their level. And might I suggest keeping DMF up as when it goes bad, it was easy to just run off the edge of the cliff where they cant hit me ;) Only real downside is the long run to get there.

What's your pull order and style?

You forgot The Grey.

Nex > Neth > Marus > Mon > The Grey > Scarlet

Dont forget DMF or EB item in the Grey. :)

Sorry for the delay in responding, Rab. I normally get a port from POK into Twilight Sea. I invis up before porting. When I port in, I follow the map to the Scarlet Desert zone in. Very short run and I've never had a problem. If your swimming is not up to par, mine's 164 now, you can just DMF your way over the water. If you've never hunted the elementals they will not attack you when you port in to Twilight Sea, BTW.

After I zone into SD, I DMF, invis, and run to the hill/plateau. I get pet up and buff him. I put my resists up, Resist Disease, DMF already there for poison, Sheilding spell, and drink a sow potion since they run fast when Darkness doesn't stick.

I park my pet a short distance away and have him Guard and turn taunt off. After resting the dead I pull with Darkness back to a spot between 2 boulders near the Tro Jeg, who unless you've ever killed them they won't attack you. I then put Splurt on it and Asystole. After the mob is down to 90% or below, I sick my pet on it and run to the other side. I sit down until it gets real close, then stand up and run back to the other side that I originally pulled to.

Never any adds and the mob falls before darkness wears off. After you break the camp, you can un-mem Rest the Dead and mem Envenomed Bolt to drop them even faster. Of course, if they never hit you, which I don't let them, you never get that curse DOT they proc on you or your pet.

As for the Sun Reavers, I keep Bond memmed and if they stick a DOT on me I cast BOD on them and get my health back. With all my resists over 100 though it very rarely sticks anything on me.

Hope this information helps more.

Good hunting.
Jos.

Its like you guys have forgotten. Tsk Tsk.

Best place to lvl is in HHK at 51 on the Nobles. Not to hard to break the spawns and they never resist. At 51 I was getting close to or 1% exp per kill. There spawns are pretty quick too, its like they were made for a necro, but dont worry you will have time to med.

Oh and LDON's are good places to level too. May not be the best of experience, but your not watching your exp bar cause your to worried about the Adventure. So the experience flies by. The more you are distracted the easier it is to level heh.

I was 51 last night, in 4 LDON Adventures I got around 50% exp. doesnt seem like much for 6 hours of play, but I also was getting 18 adventure points each time. Eventually it all adds up to some nice items that can be baught with AP.

The Gnolls caves in Jagged Pine forest are great xp until 54. There are some guides around for them as well. They are rarely camped and easy to get to (use the teleporter in Blackburrow not the one in surefall glade).

Hard adventures are great too... I'm lvl 52. If the group if mostly higher than you, most of the mobs are yellow and red... very decent experience

I tried the reavers and reverents in Scarlet Desert today. While the exp was decent, the respawn on the ruins was horrible (close to 20min :( ). This really turned me off on it. The zone was cool (I'd never been there before) but the exp just wasn't worth the wait.

And yes, I did go out and kill other stuff while I was waiting, but the exp was just too slow for my liking. Might be good for others, just not for me. Maybe I'll check out The Grey next...

What i did:

51-52: Giant fort in Burning Woods. These things spawn REALLY fast so you are always fighting, even if sharing camp. Some of them drop gems and tunics that sell for good ammount. There is a named giant who spanws there as well, he is a bit harder to kill but nothing to worry. They won't assist each other IF you don't get into their aggro range, so get max distance for spells when pulling and you will be fine. You can fear kit, it's a breeze.

52-54: Dulak in Lady Dirulia ship. This is an easy camp for a necro, their aggro range is small and they won't assist each other IF you don't enter their aggro range, thus, you can single pull them with ease. This is also good for money, they drop gems, words and runes and if you have the time/patience you can loot their weapons and shields to sell as well (i didnt). You can fear or aggro kit. Once the boat is clear, just fear kit.

54-55: Went to HHK. Could have started there earlier yes, but the competition for the camp is fierce, so i suggest staying in Dulak. There is a very good guide for this from quik2 here somewhere (too lazy to post link).

55: right now xp is SLLLLOOOOOWWWW and no matter what i do i only seem to get like 0.5 - 1% per kill in planes. So i just usually try to find a group (which isn't easy for us at this level) or play my rogue alt....yeah yeah....

Another good spot is the the Legionnaires near the Graveyard in Katta Catellum. Rather than re-write a guide for it just clcik on the link below;

Katta Guide (http://necrorealm.gotdns.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28)

The exp is pretty good at 53 (I was getting about 1% every other kill) and the lewts aren't bad either. The coolest thing about this camp is that the undead in the graveyard were DUBIOUS so they don't mess with you while your pulling :D . Happy hunting!

I have been in one of the old forgoten zones Nurga, Just drop off the water fall and cast your pet, and start pulling. once out of the water head to the right and there is about 14 goblins or so. with KEI and mage pet weapons you can clear em all and the head back towards the water fall and kill the 3 that spawn there.
There is one wander that will bother you while you sit in the corner next to ther "big" room but dont take long to figure out his spawn time. Best part is there are two named that spawn alot there and you get gem drops once in awhile. Also you build the nice but hard chardok faction. They are all dark blue there till 52 not sure about exp per hour but I liked it. Nice exp bonus in the zone also, so even light blues give good exp. Nice relaxing easy exp. Like some of the other zones metioned 90% of the time I am the only one in the zone.
I have been told its possible to level to 65 in the zone.

Yeah, I popped by there a little while ago for a look and the respawn took forever: I'm sure it wasn't always that long, when I was there in the low 50s they were respawning too fast for me to keep them all clear.

middle 50's I did mostly PoN and ME undead near coterie camp.. I killed the ME mobs way faster so it might be a lot better there.. Charm a bat, they make uber pets..

Katta's OK if you have a movie to watch or a book to read: it's slow, but the XP bar just keeps on going up from non-stop kills with little to no risk of dying and your pet doing most of the work.

My necro is finishing lvl 51 at the moment. I spent some time camping the stables in City of Mist. Exp is not great there, but loot is decent. I got killed there once when a named spawned (Dread Wraith blue-to-51) and started beating me for 170+ along with an add. Pulling can be tricky... the way the rear stables are structured, you have to actually step inside of them to get line-of-sight, so its a proximity aggro pull. If I could pull that sucker into the hallway single and get him slowed I'm fairly sure I could own him.

I have also gotten some exp at the giant fort in BW, although that camp tends to be fairly busy on my server, and hella boring because I've camped that spot too many times on other characters.

I'm currently finishing up the level aggro kiting in Skyfire... along the north wall, I pull everything I can find there except for Guardian worms, and I normally avoid the mature chromodrakes (who dispel) unless my buffs are expiring and I'm preparing to recast them anyway. I am using my lvl 56 druid for buffs, snaring, and pulling so things go pretty fast there. The highest-lvl MOB I've aggro kited there was a yellow-to-51 Elder Wyvern with Splurt, EBolt, Asystole, Scourge, and Chilling Embrace. Everything needs to be re-applied at least once. The only real pain is when EBolt resists repeatedly, but with Lich up and a decent mana pool it's still a pretty reliable kill.

Yup this is exactly what katta is..if you enjoy this type of play it is great The exp just keep rolling in and never stops and is very rarely contested but it just gets so boring...Its not bad if you can deal with the boredm tho the exp i decent and at a great pace.

Another good place is Akheva Ruins at the ent. I was here from 51 to 53 and it wasn't too bad. The entry hall is plenty big so you can practice agro kiting with no problem. Just be careful of the Transient Patroller and The Protector. They're casters (necro's) and cast Ignite Bones and Insidious Retrogression A LOT :P ! The loot is pretty good and the Centi Dator's drop centi weapons (spear, war hammer, LS, SS) every so often. I hear the Mind Worms are pretty good too but i didn't go that far in so I don't know for sure. Happy hunting :D !

You should do either HHK nobles and bard or the flies in PoD until 53-54.... after that just grind it out in PoN kiting along the GY, its easy with no adds and there are always mobs up... the 50's pretty much suck.. just keep at it... the 60's are easiest levels ever so soon enough you will be 65!! btw other than HHK I wouldnt even bother with any non-PoP zones
