Just saw an augment on BBM LDoN merchant for Extended Affliction 4 and was wondering if anyone has this or not? If it is like extended torment 4 it will increase the spell duration by 10% for any spell that lasts more than 4 ticks. Any idea on this? It is one expensive augment since it is like a 1492 point one. I have been debating on getting the immortals bloodied robe and then augmenting it with BA4 and selling my shackles of torment and then re-equiping my tactician's bullwark, but I have yet to decide on either the robe or the augment.

If the EA augment just made one tick difference that is a free dot ever 6 casts or so of any of our dots and sounds like a great use of points. Another thing about the Robe is that I am currently trying to do the Grand Robe of the Oracle quest and would "eventually" switch out the robe anyhow. Think I am leaning toward the augment.

Alakhazam doesnt even list this focus.. any help on it would be appreciated.

As i said last night, i believe it adds up to a 20% duration though it is likely random in duration just like the focus use to be. Dont quote me on it but i believe thats how the aug will work.

Nice even if it adds just one tic. Have heard that you may not see it added by the " show dot damage " but that it can still be seen on the mobs health. Might need someone who has the aug or an item with it to verfiy this one though.

BTW.. since posting this the focus has been changed "back" to extended torment 4.. which is a 10% duration increase with a MINIMUM of one tick extra. That is still a good deal. Think I am going to get this next.

The only other focus that does this since the "burning affliction" change (to my knowledge) is timeburn. I have that and it's probably my favorite, or damn close, effect. Getting an extra tick on horror is outstanding, it also works on root which is very nice. BoT can have 2 extra ticks, and with focuses and crits can break 1k dmg each round...I don't think the power of this type of focus, no matter how good the % is can be overstated. As long as you have the slot for that augment, I'd go ahead and get it. You can always go back and get the robe later.

Well, the robe is out of the question now since I got my Grand Robe of the Oracle... but I certainly got the augment and yeah.. it cooks. It is a guarantee of one tick more minimum which means on horror it is one free cast in 6 so how can I complain? Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey Doom, Was the Robe of teh Oracle hard to get? and what lvl do you suggest start workin on that, I just hit fiddy seven. THanks bro.

Is the oracle robe hard to do... no.. but it is expensive unless you are in a raiding guild and you have the points to get all the books.

Essentially all you need is 6 books and a quest robe from thurg, kael, or ss.

History of Di'Zok

THe journal of allatnas you can get yourself when you are high enough to take estrella of gloomwater.. but likely you will need to buy the rest.

Some of them have gotten VERY expensive since the quest became known. What used to go for 10k is 10x that now.. so all I can say is start farming.

I think when all was said and done I wager I paid 400k for the quest.
