New shield...

So as the title says, I am looking for a new shield and noticed Trushar's Guard (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=33498), and thought I might attempt it.

The two mobs that drop is are Vrex Indra (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=15660) and Tiv Ashmmi (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=15661). Has anyone attempted these?
Is the risk/reward worth it, or is there a better shield out there that is soloable?

I've done both, they're soloable if you're able to lifetap tank mobs that hit for around 1000 or so damage. Otherwise, might wanna bring a group. They dont do anything special, just summon is all.

What general lvl did you solo them at?
I am 66 2.4k hp and 4.5k mana unbuffed.

do 69.1 hard until Blood Defender (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=83823) drops would be easier and better imo

correct Doc. The exp is fantastic if you can kill fast enough and steady enough for it to be efficient. You should look into grabing a couple other necro's or kiting classes so you can attempt to get the shield.

If you can get a group and go to Icefall to kill Snowblind (iirc his name) then you can get a shield that has BA6.

Snowblind Info (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=22786) ..On the 7th hammer the globe sells for the retarted price of like 500k.I'd imagine other servers are just as bad so you may have a little trouble beating the farmers to this mob.

Not a whole lot of info there about killing him. Guessing at my level/gear that I cannot solo him though, especially with adds. Magelo is a bit outdated, but not terribly far from where I really am.

The Blood Defender requires lvl 70 to use. I would suggest getting to 71 and in the meantime faction and xp in Icefall kill bears for bear pelts (you need four pelts to get http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=52393) or spiders for xp after you get 2 of the prior link you will have enough faction to get: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=55180
