Greetings. I see a lot of posts on higher end exp zones so I thought I would share my current lower end experiences. I left unrest at around level 25 to try The Tower of Frozen Shadows in Ice Clad. Having never been there, I was very apprehensive but tried it anyway.

This plae is a true goldmine. At 25, you need a small group to be effective. The entrance has a large pit in the center and it is ice all the way around. Expect to fall in if your not careful, agroing the bones in the short pit as well as the shades at the zone up.

Check alla's for a breakdown of the zone and how to get the keys. The point of this post is to let folks know about the exp. From 25 to 40, i would easily get OVER half a blue per kill, moe like 3/4. At around 40, things were mostly db and white up to the 6th floor with the ice shades; this is where you want to be. Kills beomce faster with 44 pet and you will still get 1/2 blue bubble per kill. I didnt think that i could continue to level much after this but I decided to test it. At 49, with that sweet pet, mage toys, virt and kei, the killing was non stop. Most pulls are 2 at a time. Root one, slow the other and pet tank it with a dot thrown in for good measure. I never went oom ans was still getting 1/2 a blue per kill!! I went back last night at level 52 and the exp had slowed down just a tad but the kills are so fast that it makes up for it. As a comparison, I grouped with 4 others of similar level in Griegs and the ToFS exp far exceeded it at 51. THis souns outlandish but try it and post your happy results. Thanks guys and gals for all of the wonderful info on this site. Killhard.

I tried this at around level 39-40 and found I could not handle the 3rd floor. "An Armored Shadow" patrol the hallways and are not slowable since they are not undead.

Pets do not zone up with you on Al'Kabor either, so when you zone up visible there is a good chance an armored shadow will be waiting for you. I couldn't tap tank 2.5k HP mobs with my gear with no pet to help.

Maybe if I had zoned up invisible and ran around and found a safe place to pet and med it mighta been doable. But I had never been there and really couldn't tell from the map if such a place existed. One time I made it up alive since pet "warped" up and I managed to kill one armored shadow blowing essentially all my mana pool. I tried sitting in a little room to the right of the zone up on the third floor that was empty to med. Well, its within aggro range of the patrollers since the next one who walked by, aggroed, and killed me sigh.

Also, something about FD bothers me. While it was beating on me, I FDed, trying to avoid dying. It did not say FD failed or was interrupted and I was clearly FDed but the mob kept beating on me. I do not think they are casters, so what gives? If a mob is punching you and you FD shouldn't they stop?

I think that untwinked, on Al'Kabor, soloing in ToFs requires a guide to show you the safe spots to sit and possibly help entering each new level. Maybe they could leave after you have your spot picked out. So it wouldn't exactly be soloing, but sorta close.

At level 39, the second floor was not usefull for exps since almost all mobs are LB.

Yeah, those halls can be tricky. Those orange bastards not being undead make life hard on the soloing necro, and i can only imagine how much tougher they'd be on Al'Kabor.

Actually, I think a heavily twinked necro of my level coulda done fine on Al'Kabor especially if he had maxed buffage. You just need to be able to kill 2-3 wanderers.

The time I killed one I was max buffed, but as you can see from my pathetic magelo, I'm not exactly twinked and I was pretty much oom after the fight.

Slowly, I'm acquiring gear by trading stacks of Celestial Essence or by just buying stuff after getting coin from HGs, but it's slow going.
