Just curious.. .what are the stats on the necro noobie armor for a DE.

Keep killing the halflings. If I remember right you'll need about 20 halfling skins to do all of the necro quests. Dont forget about the Writ of the Fallen, it's a great newb item that I used up until about lvl 35 before I started to really spend money on my necro.

If I remember correctly, I replaced my last piece of newby armor at 52, and the Writ of the Fallen at 55 :). Never did the robe because I had better already, but the stats on the other pieces weren't too bad.

As for the skins, you're looking for 'matted halfling hide', if I remember correctly. They used to be fairly common drops, but it wasn't quite what the quest giver asked for.

Undead Steward roams around the NW corner of the zone with the rest of the undead mobs up there.

There are 2 halflings that roam around the newbie log. If you follow them away from the newbie log they will lead you to a halfling stump where about 8 other halflings spawn.

At about level 8 you'll be able to solo the entire stump area but will get adds. A lot of the times there was some asshat high lvl player there killing mob for no reason but I was able to run around and loot the skins and any other drops I needed from them so it wasnt all bad. Best thing to do if you are lower lvl is to team up with someone. A lot of the different DE classes need those skins and they are not rare so it would go much faster.

Use your in-game map. It should say where the stump is. It is SW of the newbie log and not far off the trail.

I normally kill them whenever I go past for revenge, and so low-levels can easily get their skins... never had much luck soloing them when I was the appropriate level.

Also, there is another halfling spawn not far from the big one, where you have only three or four to deal with... I think I got most of my drops there or from the wanderers. However, a level 25-ish halfling wanders past now and again and will kill you quick at level 8.

On Allakhazam, a post on Tue, Mar 16th 2:15 PM 2004 says that the Writ of the Fallen quest is broken. Has anyone completed this quest recently to know if that's true or not?
