My question is what type of hit points should a level 48 necro have. I've been trying to gear up for hit points since I've already geared to int, and now I want to balance the int with the hit points. At 48 my int is capped at 255 but my actual int is around 282. My hit points are 1302 which I believe are rather low. What Hit points should I be aiming at for level 48? My current mana pool is 2900+, so I think I have some room to play with.

I'd post a magelo profile so everyone can try to help you with the balancing.

I'm 48 as well. Magelo in sig. Gear is above avg. I think I have plenty of hp/mana for my level. /shrug

LOL... unbuffed I have 1306 at level 60 :). While I've obviously like a lot more, since I almost always have Virtue or some other big HP buff that takes me to around 3000, it's not really an issue so far.

:D Damn , I feel so down now :) ... I gotta change my gear pronto if youre saying the truth :) I got 1246 HP @ lvl65 ..... never saw the need of more hp really. Most of items I got from soloing here and there , is HP such an important issue for neccies ? I know hp = mana but what the heck mobs lie around just waiting to be tapped :) and you get some coin by doing so too :)

Well, with 1200 hit points, if I Lich to an efficient level before lifetapping it only takes a couple of hits from a mob and I'm dead. With 3000 hit points I can probably last long enough to FD... that's the big difference.

virtue is like american express, dont go anywhere w/o it. 1200 hps itself and yea you d be in trouble, but what they re sayin is w/ virtue, u shouldnt have any problems gettin any type of tap/fd off.

At lvl 65, I have 3273hp (5.8k raid buffed) and in my opinion I dont have nearly enough. I'm striving for at least 5-6k unbuffed, and yes with Time gear and GoD this is possible. To a necro, hit points are everything. Its how we get our mana, and it keeps us alive. Especially if you plan to raid in areas with area affects that do 1500+ damage, or fight elemental mobs that quad you for 400's or rampage for 1-2k. The more hp you have, the more time you have to feign death and get a cleric heal when you do happen to get beat on. Sadly, as wonderful as it is, lifetap isnt going to save you in those situations.

(Just a tip: if you dont have access to high level gear, one easy way to raise your hp is by getting the Natural Durability AA)

Daisy, I 've thought about that AA too. Anyone got any thoughts on whether or not the STA AA's are worth it. I mean we can put 5 points into that for 10 more points of STA. However, I don't know if it is worthwhile.

I'm trying to keep my HP's up too. I've got close to 1600 with no buffs right now at level 55. I think I'll be happy once I can get 2000 unbuffed. My 56 Enchanter only has around 1300 or so. Of course, all the regen I have helps too.

Good hunting.

The reason I'm hesitant to put my points into stamina is that I am raid buffed for most of my playing time, which maxes out my stamina already. Plus, I know several people who have maxed their stamina out with gear, and wish they could take those points back. So I am gonna wait a while and see how my armor looks after a few upgrades and decide then.

hehe yer sta will go up as u lvl too with those buffs/aa abilities.. so at 65 u should get 305 sta, and if u have teh right aa's u can get up to 355.

At lvl 56 I have 1700 and change HP's unbuffed. Mag is not updated will do it in next few days. I think I have above average gear.

Stamina aa's for a necro aren't really a alot of hps. Probably 2 hps per, so 1 aa would be about 4hps. I'm not really sure it's a good useage of AA's until you have a whole lot of them. Also if your in a raid guild that's in EP's and progressing, it'd take a lot of hard work figuring out how to loot in potime and not max stamina. I'm around 390 if there was no cap, and still have 3-4 things from time I'd really like to have.... If your not in a progressive raid guild, it may be something to think about, but I'd make sure to have alot of the archetypes, PoP, Gates aa's first. Class aa's for us kinda suck, but if there's something there you want I'd get those before stamina too. Just an opinion, hope it helps.

Btw, after glancing at magelo's: Where's all your burning affliction focuses? They're rare, but....not that rare. Ldon, robe of misery, ceramic shackles of torment, coldain military wristguard.....belt from dracholiche, it's seriously a GREAT effect, every 5 rounds you get a free rounds worth of dmg from a 20% focus...I'd surely give up some hps(if I had to) for that.

Great question, Jeb. I did the coldain quest for my wife's druid. She still wears it at 62 because she hasn't found a good and not too expensive upgrade for it.

I had planned to do the quest for myself but not long after I outgrew the BA2 item I had, GoD came out. I now use the tribute system and keep the BA3 tribute going. It doesn't cost that much per tick, a Tribute tick being 10 minutes, and I didn't have to have an item.

When I'm grouped I also turn on the ID3 tribute for a little extra punch too.

Also since I don't have a tail like you, hehe, I want to keep my regen robe for a while too.

As always, you provide excellent feedback Jeb.

Good hunting.
Jos.

I have low Hp imo, At lvl 49 i have 960hp with 237 int and just got the new Fabled robe of ishva =). I have a drog, regen 1, and FT1 from the robe so i have lots of mana but not so many hps. I beleive when you lvl you get extra HP besides what you get from just lvling when you add more sta. When i'm about to ding i through on bear skin of rage, geode ring, and a 9sta necklace to help boost my hps from what i didnt do before. Hope that helped =)
