Some Mage Gear for my Pet

Hello all,

Someone gave a guide through solo leveling in the hunting grounds section (I beleive their name was quick3 or something). He recommended getting some Magician's Summoned things for our pets (i.e. The Muzzel of mudle, the Fists of Xiblat, and the Girdle of Magi'kot).

How do I get my hands on these things? How much will they cost me?


Now, once I get them, quick3 recommended being killed in the arena so that you don't have to rebuy these items, but how do I get the items back from my pet once I have given them to him?

Just go to PoK and shout around asking if any mages, 63-65 i believe, are summoning any pet equipment. Or you can go to the Bazaar and search for Summoned: items

To the best of my knowlege you cannot get the items back from your pet once given to him. :unsure:

Yet! I have heard that if you raise your begging skill to max. (i.e. 200) you can indeed get weapons back from the pet. Not absolutely sure on this though! In fact, I am in the process of raising my begging skill to max at the moment. Hopefuly it will work, I suppose only time will tell...Hehehe :rolleyes:

I can only think that the summoned items mentioned are for your char! Now, these I can see how they could be reused, by means of being killed in the arena!!

Anyway, I suppose what I am saying, is that i'm as confused as you! :blink:

Hey Guys,

Ok, I've got the stuff now, but how do I know they work (besides the fist of xiblat). I don't know if the belt is working or not. Is there anyway to check the pet's HPs? Just checking thanks once again.

I'm not sure if there is a way to check a pets hp... but i KNOW that they work if you give them to your pet. How you ask? Well simply because i know that a level 1 pet can't normally take level 6 mobs ;) The mask though, i really don't notice the haste and i just belive its there, lol

The haste if like haste on normal characters. It would be very low at the fist few lvls i do notice it later on in game though. But, I do notice a big ifference when i use pet weps on pet kiting then if i dont.

Yeah Drakkel and Rikam,

I have been soloing and grouping in PC for a while now and when my pet's have the toys, I DO SO MUCH BETTER! Life is easier with these toys... I too can tell the difference now. It took some soloing, but I have finally noticed.
These toys are a lifesaver :). By the way, thanks for all the advice everyone. It has made my playing much more fun.

Just want to make a couple of points:

1 - The items do work, and there is really no way of measuring the hitpoints of your pet short of parsing the combat data, and even then it would be an approximation.

2 - Don't bother training begging up to get the items back. Aside from charmed mobs, the items are gone once handed to your pet. The begging deal is a rumor started pretty much on day one of the game, and I can say from personal experience that a begging skill of 0 and a begging skill of 200 have the same effect on getting the items back: None.
