Hole Entrance

Hi guys fairly new to the whole necro thing wondering of there is a quest to get a key for the Hole and if so can a iksar necro do this quest?

You can squeeze through that hole without the key, yes?

Not sure if Iksars can squeeze through without shrink.

However, here's the quest:

Go to the Warrens. Slaughter about 2000 kobolds. Get a newby to let you into Paineel. Find the vendor who sells the key to the Hole. Give him a couple of hundred plat and get your reward. :).

The 2000 number is a guess based on Iksar faction elsewhere, but basically you need to get up to apprehensive to buy from the vendor. At amiable you can get a key from the guards to enter the city, but unless you really want to be able to enter at will it's not worth the extra time.

If you can't squeeze through the gap in the door, if you're high enough level to solo in the Hole then your biggest problem in the Warrens should be targetting kobolds fast enough to keep up with your pet's kill rate :).

BTW, note that DMF is stripped as soon as you zone into the Hole, so I recommend casting Breath of the Dead for water breathing just for safety.

Find someone to buy the key for you.. the "squeeze through" method I believe works on any race of character. Also read if your crouch as you try to squeeze through that helps.

Squeezing thru only works for small races. Larger ones will need a shrink or wolf form or illusion etc, etc. You might be able to slip thru while you have Lich on. It's worth a try so you dont have to get faction up.

I'm an Ikky and I can squeeze through in skelly form, just gotta push forward in the little corner and put the duck key on auto fire.

I used to squeeze through all the time on my barb warrior without a problem, so it's definitely not just small races that can. I always got a kick out of whipping through and then watching some little dwarf or gnome get stuck, haha.

The key to the Hole is no drop. You can't have someone buy it for you. I think the best bet is to raise your paineel faction by killing enough in the warrens to get your faction up to kindly. Hail one of the skellie guards in the field in paineel to get the key to paineel. At that point you will be able to purchase anything you want from the town of paineel. The key to the Hole costs 106pp if i am not mistaken. It has been awhile since i hae done this but now i am one of the very few if not the only one in my guild with the key to the Hole. Hope this helps.

Aye i can squeeze thru as a Human Necro once you get the timing down it's a snap.
