I've heard of many lvl 51+ necros farming LGuk, but that's not what this thread is about.

I'm considering taking my lvl 44 necro there to solo... any recommendations for or against, or information on camps and pulling etc? For instance, can I single-pull and solo those GIBS?

Damn... not the encouragement I was looking for. On the bright side, I'm sure I can make it back to the zone-in and summon my corpse if necessary.

Sounds like maybe you got lost in the maze or something. I don't know lguk well at all but I've been there a couple times years ago on another character.

I was just looking to clear some spot in or around the bedroom, and kill a few things, not go camp the ghoul lord or anything ambitious like that. I'll wait until 50+ to really start trying to own the place.

Of the two main old-world dungeons, I know SolB a lot better, but I need some undead in a dungeon, so lguk it is.

Kaesora or ToFS are other options I was thinking of. I've camped HS fangs in Kaesora in a past life so I know that spot pretty well, but I'm trying not to ruin my necro's venrilsathir faction at the moment. I don't know squat about ToFS other than it requires keys between areas, which bothers me for casual xp. Once again though, I could always summon my corpse if I need to.

EDIT: BTW just hit lguk... MOBs up to and incuding the BR are meat for the 44 pet. 2-3 frogs at a time no problem. After I cleared the frogs, I tried to pull the GIBS and got all of em, should have expected that though. I gated, jobartik took one for the team, etc. Anyway, that particular spot will be trivial if I can manage single pulls of GIBS, either with rest the dead or by hauling my 2-box lvl 56 druid down there. However, some GIBS are light blue so I need a deeper spot for optimal xp.

Don't be discouraged by a bad experience... I lived in Guk in my high 40's. Everything from the Arch Magus to Ghoul Lord were on my radar... it's a lot of fun learning how to handle that place on your own, you'll get a nice Dungeon Education in LGuk. It will prepare you for such places as Howling Stones, Deep Chardok, and Veksar at later levels... go for LGuk, you'll love it!

You'll learn adds, charm, mez, single pull, splitting rooms, and how f'd up aggro can be... you'll be a better Necro for solo'ing as much as you can in LGuk
