Congrats man!..... I do have to say that the fact it is in TBS kinda sucks considering this was a TSS selling point, but good one nonetheless!

So this is the way to get the zombie illusion for your pet? I thought this item cast the illusion on us.

The mask spectre illusion is for you self buff. The zombie clicky is pet only and auto targets your pet when you cast it.

Just to point out, the 'final hail' you need to do to get the remains is not to Paza but sayiing D'nik Belm J'cof Ghap to Xanaionusus.
Hailing Paza again just gave me another mask :D

Is there any clear guide to the task, Realign the Lines?
I have tried reading Alla's to no avail.
The previous task , Order, was a breeze.
Any information would be appreciated.

worked for me.
There is a good overall write up at the ranja site (http://eqoutrider.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2181)

For mission 5 do this (assuming you start in the center).
Move the tiny guy back and forth 15 times, making sure on the 15th move that he's back on the pile of guys. So go:
east
west
center
west
center
west
center
west
center
west
center
west
center
west
center
At this point the sphinx moved the large guy to the oposide side that you need to finish on. Make sure you next move the large guy to the finishing pile.
Then do the same thing you previously did with the little guy, only now you have 7 moves remaining.
east
west
center
west
center
west
center
At this point the sphinx moved the 2nd largest guy to the opisite side you want to finish on. Make sure you next move the 2nd largest guy on top of the largest guy.
Then do the same thing you did with the small guy before, only this time you have 3 moves remaining.
east
west
center
Now the 3rd largest guy is moved by the sphinx to an empty pile. Move it on to the finishing pile.
Then move the small guy onto the empty pile
Then move the 2nd smallest onto the finishing pile
Then move the small guy onto the finishing pile
Tell the sphinx you finished and win a cookie.
Still collecting armor...

Does anyone know if "Token of Alignment" drop off the Djinni outside the pyramid? Or just inside?
Jenocyde
03-30-2007, 09:53 PM
lol I used the same one too. Just went by src / aux / dst, click on cut-the-knot, move the piece in game alt tab back and forth.
And yes both tokens can drop both inside and out, same for all the armor pieces.

Allahs info on that part was shitty,it gives people the impression all quest parts drop inside the pyramid.I was able to clear almost the whole zone just agro kiting the gimpish mobs.I bet a necro could solo this quest in an afternoon if they put some effort into it.

Yep, i did...well, a 'healthy' afternoon, starting around 10ish. For the armor drops, I just got into contact with the other groups/soloers in zone. Then played 'trading cards' with them...after a while, i would just get tells 'come get your bp' as I would practically give away bracers and boots lol. Camping it alone, I could see being a long drag though...some were there 2 days looking for one or two more parts, and still were looking when i left with my zombie clicky:)
The key to the puzzles though, is to do it really early, or really late...otherwise you get this line of vultures hovering, and that does nothing for the concentration haha:)

Can I just say how incredibly pissed I was to finish this quest and get my zombie pet illusion only to discover I can't use it until I get to level 75?! 2 required levels on the damn thing. Level 65 and level 75! Wht the hell kinda sense is that? I worked my ass off to get this damn quest finished (month and a half of pretty steady kiting to get all those frickin pieces armor) and when I finish it, I can't even use the really cool thing about it? Thank you, Sony. Once again, you enticed my excitement over an item only to slap me down like a 3 dollar hooker. And it's not like it's a spell that is gonna somehow imbalance any damn thing. No, just somethin cool, somethin to set us necros apart from the pack. But lets make sure that only those who are max level can use it, just to piss off the little guys.
Well Form of Rotting Flesh (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=9991&source=Live) is a lvl 75 spell. Not like the clicky will go away. 71-75 is a 2 week casual grind.

I imagine you got some nice experience during that month and a half...why aren't you 75 again?

Heh...I'd imagine. I got my cleric from 70-75 and 100 or so aa's while I did that quest (2x) and the hand aug (once so far). So it'd be twice that soloing in theory (it was just me and the frog most of the time).

72, and I got AA out the wahzoo. It was one of the main reasons I kept at this quest, even though I kept seeing the same people in the zone, looking for the same pieces as me pretty much. So yeah, I benefitted from the time invested, but it sure was a nasty surprise to find that out like that. I mean it's an illusion. If you can do the quest, why can't you use the clicky pet illusion, regardless of level. /shrug Don't make much sense to me, but there's a lot of things in life that don't make much sense to me, like how is my low-flow, tree-hugging toilet saving the planet's water supply, when everyone I know who has one has to flush their's multiple times each use?
Oh, and I didn't solo any of it. Had my ranger there with me, and most often my wife was there with her chanter and beastlord, not to mention that almost everytime my guildies saw me in there, they asked if they could come too. I hate tellin people no, specially when I know that if I don't let them join me, they are most likely either not gonna get to play much if at all, or simply log off. I'm one of the officers, so I feel like it's kinda my responsibility too.

Anybody find better places than others for the platinum armor? Been hunting these, but seems very rare.

I did mine and my clerics just north over the hill from the puzzle area.
There's an obliesk with 4 efreeti outside of it and 3 inside of it. The area outside and east of it is large enough to kite 2-3 at a time if you wish (though I usually stuck to 1 and only did 2 if I pulled more than 1). The four there are single pulls , after that the pyramid further north has 6 more you can single pull. If you still need more there are 2 to the east at the top of a ramp that will have to be split or both kited, and a single wanderer that paths up to the top of the ramp. If you still need more there is 1 wanderer that walks out of the obliesk and 2 more inside of it (not single pull...just get both and run outside of it they will warp). I've seen several full sets there as I've used it for xp after completing that quest. These also seem to drop the 70 spell velliums at a nice rate as well.

That's the exact same spot I used for my armors. Got mine and a mage friends both there.

Thanks, I will give that a try. Was killing around the main pyramid and only got the wrist piece. Got a bit boring after 4 or 5 laps. Zone is a bit dead on Stromm too. Nobody else there a lot.

The efreeti tower was one of my favorite spots as well. I'd say I spent 75% of my time there. Definitely did not see full sets of armor dropping there.

It's just the RNG...from what I've seen the armor can drop from any efreeti in the zone. I've not really seen any one area drop more of one piece then the other (and I've camped just about every spot you can kill efreeti at now at some point). Really, it just comes down to which area allows you to keep the most down at any given time...which is why that spot is my favorite.

I know it is suppose to be RND off any efreeti, but I have noticed that armor seems to drop more off efreeti at obelisks than the ones at pyramids. I have started farming the obelisk north of the puzzle area and the one at the entrance. Have gotten drops at both of those, but never at a pyramid.
Anything to this or just a coincidence?

I would say that's coincidence. Seems to be pretty random to me and the /ooc loc of rotting pieces.
One comment tho is that I have never seen a Hand spawn at an obelisk. Of the 6 or so that I've seen, they have always been around a pyramid perimeter. And I also primarily camp the obelisk north of the puzzle area... have yet to see a Hand there.

They spawn there...there's just more PH's around a pyramid then the obelisk. (12 per pyramid, 7 in/around the obelisk).

Yeah, I've had a couple of Hands spawn there at the efreeti tower.

Had a Hand spawn on the ramp behind the obelisk at the entrance. They seem to be pretty rare spawn though.

Had about 3-4 Hands spawn in my time at the obelisk....
