Couple of different issues here and I'm trying to get an answer to them as we go, so I'll start with the first one:

1) The reasoning behind EE's not being used as a spell component. When I first started this game, many moons ago, any kind of reagent savings included the EE's, but for the last 2+ years I have had a mask from Demi (or maybe it was anguish...don't remember it's been that long) where there was a minimal amount of conservation; but even at 5% I should have been able to save at least 1 EE. Now, fast forward to about 2 months ago, and I put a bid in on a molded Agate Trinket, which has a 15% conservation modifier.

Since I have put either one, or even both of these item on I have yet to save a single EE.

I was informed the other day by a fellow necro, that the devolopers in EQ don't consider an EE a reagent/component of a spell and therefore we can't save any with this line of gear. What I don't understand is that to utilize the spell, it says that it requires an EE to cast. And also if it's missing from your body when u cast the spell, you are given the message that you are unagble to cast because you are missing a component.

Now, this makes no sence to me at all....was my fellow necro misinformed? Could there be something faulty with the gear? Could I just have the worst luck of any Necro in all of EQ?

2) Since Sony started doing Fabled expansions, it has been a blast actually going into old zones, doing old, but newly updated, mobs and seeing what kind of loot they are dropping these days.

I was checking out the boards earlier about some of the fabled robes that have been dropping in POG and I was wondering if developers took into account the necro's newest summon spell. The old Bonecaster Robe was a free summon corpse cast, but it went up to lvl 60? (I want to say Luclin went to 55 or 60, but I forget the specifics) and the spell was perfect for its time. Our new spell for summoning corpses is a lvl 71 spell that summons up to a lvl 75 toon's body and the cost of casting the spell is 2 coffins; just a little bit different than our old spell. BUT the problem I'm seeing on the Fabled robes is that they are on;ly going up to level 70 so they would be pretty useless in today's necro world. Are the develops taking this into acoount as they are designing the gear? Would they be willing to look at the question being posed? Are they sticking to their guns that this robe is staying the way it is even though it holds no value whatsoever and noone even wants a robe like this for any reason now? Or should I be making a POG run now and then to see if Tunare is dropping any goodies?

Thx much,
Jakier

Ohhhhh, and give us an AA so we can cross zones in Lich form already goooooood!

Reagent conservation focuses have that little limit ..."Limit: Effect(Summon Item excluded)". And if you ever cast identify on a EE you should see : Summoned: Essence Emerald.

Didn't know EE's are summoned and that summoned spells are excluded from the foci untill i got coa mask back then and wondered wtf doesn't it save a single EE.

It seems reagent conservation focuses allways had that limit no idea if EE's were allways flagged as summoned, but it looks like it.

Looks like devs in the past thought EE's are "too powerfull" to not be consumed upon cast. Maybe their view is different these days. Worth asking for a change imo.

As for PoG robe, don't think a single fabled items had their clickys changed from original unlike focuses on them.

The shrunken goblin skull earring had its clicky changed for fable. Now I think it is only a 5 attack difference, but it still changed. However that is the only one I can think of that did, but there might be a few more. /shrug

Wasn't important to the thread, but what is a derail or two between necros.
