Ok, I finally didi it....I liched myself to death. haha It was not entirely my fault however, my mouse locked up and I could not click it off. But, I feel like I have passed an important right of passage.

haha can't say i've ever liched myself to death but when I first got allure of death I didnt know I could turn it off so I spent alot of time running around trying to tap mobs for life before I died. I hated that spell so much.

A few months ago in LDoN, I had CoB'd my health down to about 30% or so, while we were all taking a med break. Don't ask what the cleric was doing...I don't want to know <_<

Got moving, mob was pulled...I walk through an archway to assist, and found myself back in the PoK.

Turned out the archway or somewhere near it was trapped. :(

The best part is, everyone got hit as they walked through that area, but declined to let anyone else know. :huh:

got hit with one of them nasty poison dots in LDoN after the group had zoned out. (was sticking around to open chests) I sat down to try and get some regen to make the dot not as bad. Then I watched it start fading. Still loosing HP's like crazy. Said to myself oh crap take lich off, stupid!!! Took lich off, Trap faded,
4 HP's left...

well i got nothing better to do ill tell you my story i was on a small guild raid for the rogue epic and i decided i was getting bord so i liched up and went out to look for a few mobs and i figured i was buffed up and there musta been about 7 clerics and 50 other healing classes so i went out killed a few mobs and came back sat down in front of the whole raid and when i sat i musta been at about 30 % hp and i was sitting and sitting and sitting and i DIE!!! at first i dident know what happened it just says entering POK.... and my whole guild starts laughing at me. but if you ask me i didient find it funny ohhh well what can i say. beat that nothing more embarising than to kill your self infront of your whole guild bye your own spell :-(

Well id have to say that even tho i like the lich line of spells i find i lich my self to death more often than not.. Either from not paying attention aka tell hell or i'll get down to 20% life pull a mob to get life back and pet wont take agro and all i see is LOADING PLEASE WAIT.......

So no i will never lich past 40% life when i solo and in groups i never burn enough mana to have a need for lich...

Took down Wuoshi today. Wiped on first attempt, only two groups. Was liching to twitch the cleric for rezzes. Druid got the CH off when I was at 2% and still liching, got real lucky on that one...

I have done that too. I'll have just finished off a mob, down to 50-60% health but no mana... Call of Bones, and Sit. Go afk... come back, for some reason I am back at bind point. Oops! /doh

Lich death happened to me just the other day. I was in chardok and the group wiped. I FD'd like a good necro and all the mobs went to starting positions. I couldn't see any of them. I stood up...looked around and all looked calm. So I start to med gather shadow...next thing I know I am getting wacked on...I hit FD as soon as I can and it sticks...I look at my life 1%!!! I let out a sigh and sat back in my chair....next thing i see?? You are die of an unknown disease or something like that....it said it twice and I died. Then I smacked my Forehead...Liched to death!!!
Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. I didn't even want a rez...just ran back..got my corpse and camped.

I cant say much but I lich my self alot and never turn it off when I am fighting and when the fight is over I die by my own spell and I get made fun of so bad my my group memebers and friends because of that and it completly SUCK!!! That is mainly the only way I die and lose exp and have trouble geting it back because I am a Ikky and the dont get xp that fast.So it sucks even more :angry:

With my 52 necro, I was walking around on the dock in OT waiting for the boat (before PoK) and I started walking really slow like I was encombered or something. I checked my inventory to check my weight and noticed very very few hitpoints left... In a panic, I just started clicking off all my buffs to click off lich. I got lucky on that. But I have seen dead spectres around in newbie areas that died during Arch Lich... Bummer.

I've liched myself to death so many times i cant count... on a posotive note lich killing me via pain and suffering "you died you died" with a mob doubling me for 500's has been pretty nice. Just yesterday i was fuckin around in permefrost i made the mistake of attacking The Chilling terror.... he went thru me fast and some how in the midst of his quads for 400 his unresistable ae for 500 and his stun proc, i died to lich lol "you died you died" ^(~_^)>

I think the only times I've died by accident from a lich was when I was naked, wanting to get some mana to buff myself up for a CR... doh.

Death to Lich on a pvp server is a good thing though... sounds to me like it is different xp loss on a blue server? Twice I avoided getting coined by leaving lich on when I knew I wasn't going to be able to escape... died by lich and the poor goodie/newt didn't get the pk death.

I remember having long arguments/discussions at lower levels with groups that didn't want to pull until I was full health :blink: I still always get cross at a group when they take a med break long enough that I have to click lich off.

I have liched todeath a total of 3 times but pretty funny stories behind all 3 but will only tell the first one may not be funny to most but you would have only had to be there a long timeago when Plane of Air was really hard and people needed guilds to kill in it also known as plane of sky now but back then was with a guild called Fusion of Flame as an app was my first time there and alot of fun here i was out doing myself to show off some skill and impress the guild and such then they are like everyone take a small med break and catch your mana up bout to take down a named so i was like coo so i turn and start talkin to my best friend that was watchin me play then a couple mins or so later i hear that sound like when you die in spec form or kill a spec the sound scared me i was like wtf was that i turn around just intime to see LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... then when i poped up at my bind was getting alot of tells laughing at me and being like wtf was that dude rofl was so embarrasing first time i ever died infront of them and it had to be by my own hand was pretty funny tho imho

I have done this once. My former guild was raiding Hate (before the revamp) Guild wipes on Maestro. I FD at 25%, and forget I have lich on. I sat watching my health go down, and didn't even think to click lich off because I was SO use to having lich.
I will have to say that was only my second most embarrassing death. I was hunting in Cobalt Scar at low 50s, and I would DMF and run up into the tower to Sky Shrine to pull the wyverns from in there, but to save myself the beating of getting back out the right way, I would run out the window and just levi back across to the ledge. Well I was running through making the killing rounds, and I pull 3 of the wyverns run out the window and take a plunge to the beach for 20k damage...

the only time i came close i was in PoK and was running to and from the bank gettin some space in there. and i saw my usual duo partner. she was standing with a large group of my guildies. i stopped to click invite so we could duo, and then next thing i know i get a tell asking if i was dotted, then i saw three (so and so) complete heals you, LMAO. there were 3 or 4 clerics from my guild that saw i was about to die so they all complete healed me. my druid partner did too. it was awesome! hehe

Well, some people lich in PoK to regen mana for twitching the buffers before a raid or if they gate to PoK after a rezz. Also, only the Lich spells with an illusion component (call of bones or higher) get dispelled when you zone.

Yes i had a bad encounter with a mob i was trying to solo. I gated to pok b4 i died. Was at full health so turned on lich, sat down, and went for a bio and some drink. When i came back i was standing on top of my corpse naked.

I've killed myself once with Lich. My mouse was literally half an inch away from clicking it off before I died.

I've also Fd'ed and turned it off with 0% health showing on my bar.
