Necro helm upgrade

Ok, I have an issue, yesterday after getting 2 ornate silk drops in Bot, I got the Vorshar's Slippers of the Blight (spell haste IV) and Vorshar's Sleeves of the Blight(mana preservation IV). Love both, woot woot. But I need a new helm since I have Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms (Mana preservation III) which over laps the Sleeves in mana preservation.

Sounds easy huh. Well my problem is that almost nothing has the INT to make up for the HNP so my int will drop below my max (right now 270). I know there are things in the elemental planes and time that are better, but honestly not sure if I will ever get there (EQ will long be shutdown for something better by then). So I am looking for suggestions for upgrades (including maybe something that I can drop an aug into to help its INT.

Uh yeah it does, but I am 63 now, IE it doesnt work any more on alot of spells and the MP4 is better anyway. :lol:

Not having 270int isn't a huge deal and it can be made up elsewhere, and after you make up the "missing" int you still have 12 stamina, 100hps, 60m and some decent svs on your noggin. It's a GREAT necro hat. Apologies, I couldn't find it in the original post--why do you need a new helm? Are you looking for more HP or resist or focus or...? Is there a problem with your current style of play?

Basic rundown is I have something with a better focus effect than my help I have now, the problem is that my helm I have now has a high INT on it and I dont want to loose that INT but want something else to use the head slot for (INT and some other effect or more HP, etc).

Maybe it's just because I live in Veksar, but I like this (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=21754).

Yeah, the effect is only ext range 3, but you'd be surprised how much you'll actually use it, plus it has more int, hp, mana and all that good stuff.

Edit: forgot to mention, all the posts there say it's really rare, but I usually get 1 or 2 in a day of a few hours if I'm concentrating on that area.

Gee, I can't really find any other worthwhile items beyond doing PoP, Gates, or LDoN for no drop items or augments.
