Sunshard ore

I'm looking for a good spot to farm sunshard ores. I've tried Seblis and The Buried Sea,but the drop rates in those zones arent spectacular. Has anyone found a good spot with a decent drop rate for these?

Sunshard ore doesn't seem to have a real high drop rate anywhere. I'd go for whatever you can find that drops it that you can kill FAST. I know the lower-level murkies in NC will drop it, and they're a well-known kiting camp.

A month or so ago I was dorking around bored in skyfire for a couple hours, picked up 11 ores in that timeframe. Don't know if this is good or not, I've no interest in them.

I got 8 in an LDoN run I did for my cleric a bit ago; not great xp but they seemed to drop quickly for some reason, and LDoN's are easy these days. I was tanking 3-5 at a time without problems when they were slowed.

I see these drop all the time tho not with a huge frequency while plvling. What exactally are they for? quest with gear reward, faction, exp, tradeskills?

Yep, you can make lesser versions of the pirate/katta armor as well as powersources and weapons shields etc. The sunshard dust/pebbles/ore is the common component.

I get 4 or 5 an hour dinking around in Plane of Tactics.

Yeah go for Ldons. I've got a lot out of them and the mobs are a quick kill, plus concentrated amount.

In the buried sea, on Monkey Rock island, Kill the Gorilla's. I usually get 1-2 per clear of all the gorila's easily. And you can kite 4-7 at a time.
