Then theres fishing....
thats what doomfir i believe called it, maybe it was jeb, i dont recall, but i remember reading about it and thinking, funny, i do the same thing. heres the details.
Lets say your in veksar, the church for example and your gonna pull a mob. Often i will send in my pet and let him smack the mob then have the pet come back to me to kill of the mob in safety away from other mobs. Since your level 60+ pet wont agro other mobs, this is a nice little way to single pull, cause your way back away from any aggro radius of other mobs.
But, what often happens when you do this? Often, even if your pet is the first thing to hit your target, that target if its a caster still has the smarts to cast a nice little spell your way. Often its resisted but sometimes it isnt, and if its a despelling mob then poof, you might just lose your POT9 or some other buff. So, theres a way to prevent this, its called fishing.
Line yourself with the mob your gonna pull, then FD. While you are FD, send in your pet to smack your mob, said mob is not gonna cast on you because your FD and will unleash on your pet. Pull your pet back, and let build up another hit of aggro and then your usually good to stand up and the mob doesnt care at all about you until long into the fight after several dots have been landed.
