Anniversary Edition

Hello y'all,
I just received and installed the anniversary edition and am so excited! I really do enjoy playing this game. :p With so much more to see and do now though, I'm frozen! I can't seem to decide what I want to do.

I'm on the Combine server (progression) so only through GoD/OOW is active. I am level 42 and loving my new necro. Does anyone have any suggestions for where/what I should be doing now? Point me in a direction, please! LoL... with all this new stuff to see, I really want to become unstuck.

In the 40s, Guru'Kar Mesa should be good for you. You might be able to do the zone in stuff in the Steppes (maybe). Both of these are TSS and you can get to the mesa through your guild portal. The Steppes is on the other side of the Mesa. You should see it on your map.

I am not sure about the lower level stuff, but the higher level mobs in TSS tend to have a crap load of hp compared to the older world mobs.

Not sure about TBS spots in that range.

For the progression servers, I believe it's going to be a bit harder to tell you. In the 40's, I was levelling in LoY zones, and also the dreadlands. These should both be open to you currently. Kiting worked well in each place...LoY Gunthak should be alright if you get on the beach and start killing.

I'd say the boats in Dulak's Harbor would be a good place for you in the mid-40s. I solo'd there starting around 45 or so on my alt Necro. You can also try some of the older expansions. Karnor's is pretty quiet now that the Combine has blown past Kunark. It's a good place to get used to dealing with mobs in a dungeon, yet you are still "outside" so you can use SoW potions.

Omens and Gates has very little good content for your level range.

Here's my gameplan for 35+

At level 35 I was ready to start frost giants in Eastern Wastes. It's good xp, good plat, and it will raise your Claws of Veeshan faction, which will come into play later. Pull from the giant fort towards the north wall, then agro kite or fear. It's a nice wide open spot, with no roamers. I plan on staying here a very long time to max my faction with CoV.

I'm guessing somewhere around level 45, I'll move to Cobalt Scar to kill the wyverns. With ally CoV faction, you don't have to worry about the wyverns agroing on you, even if you're killing one atm! The only thing you have to watch for is the named wyverns (Yvolcarn and/or Azureake) which will social agro. And killing the wyverns won't lower your faction either. Save the wyvern hides, you can use them for tailoring (up to 252) or probably sell them in the bazaar for a nice little profit.

I'm not sure if the giants in EW will take you all the way to 45, so you may need to find a hunting ground in between here... I'll post an update when I get there :D

Edit to add: Also, I think with CoV faction you can zone into Skyshrine & do your banking, etc there when your bags are full. That'll keep you from having to gate out & make the long run back to CS.
