Pet Weapons...

Can a pet dual wield Lore items? I haven't tried yet, but I purchased a Steel Hilted Flint Dagger (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=618) cheap in the bazaar and gave it to my pet. Sure enough, he procs 625 DD. I'm not worried about giving this item to my pet, because like I said, the weapon was cheap and I have Persistent minion. There's another one up in the bazaar, so I was curious if we can give our pets 2 identical lore items? Anyone know?

Oh yeah, and this weapon procs a lot more than the mage summoned weapons.

I haven't tried in a very long time but they used to. My favorite in my 40's was the axes from the skeletons in Echo Caverns (which are lore). The pet looks really cool with two of those :)

Hmm, maybe I'll give it a shot. Like I said, the daggers aren't very expensive in the bazaar. I'll, at the very least, buy a couple of them because of how cheap and great they are. If no one can say for sure in the next day or so, I'll do some testing. :)

If they're Lore, you'll only be able to have one at a time, anyway (unless you use your Shared Bank).;)

Shared bank, guild bank, regular bank, and pet already has one. :p

I would suggest giving your pet a skelly illusion before you give him the weapons...that way you will be able to tell if he can DW them or not, or at the least...if he is holding both

Yes, pets can & will use more than one LORE item. Burning Shanks (lore) summoned from Blazing Stone of Demise is an exclusive pet toy; some others that come to mind that I have personally used in the past are Mod Rods, Di`zok Oracle Shillelagh (now nerfed to exclude pets), Locustlure, etc.

Can second what scrat said. You can give your pet that second dagger. Just keep in mind that the summoned mage pet weapons have a much higher proc rate modifier than any player weapon in the game, and will thus fire a helluva lot more than the SHFDs. Those big procs are sexy and cool to see, but those pet weps are gonna fire a lot more often, doing a lot more DPS.
