Never tried it. The reason I could see that it wouldn't work is that in water you get moved alot when you get hit so you can get interrupted very easily. Best thing to do is try it when you don't have aggro to see if it works in general. If it does, then get yourself up against a wall so you don't move while trying to cast it while getting beat on.

If i am not mistaken i believe you can. As mentioned before it is very easily interrupted though.

All spells are easily interrupted in water, but FD does work.

A little off Subject. We don't always get to choose where we FD at, But couldn't you run just a bit more to FD on Land? Drowning seems to be a bigger worry than if It Works. EB items are great if you wear them all the time, or DMF; but then you stand a better chance of Floating above water....
Best solution is try it without a mob on you, But watch for Drowning.....

How exactly was that a "Flame"? I was just pointing out that there are many places (indeed, entire zones) in the game where you can't just run to dry land.

It's been alleged for some time that some zones have a built-in modifier regarding FD success rate.
I play shaman, monk, and necromancer heavily. I can't really attest to that from personal experience. I've seen good days and bad days more often than I've seen good zones and bad zones.
Whispers, you might need to relax a tad. That's the third or fourth time you've made a heated reply to a pretty straightforward post. Have you considered decaf?

FD works under water, and I think even in lava but it's been a while...
