After another night of looking for something to do I wandered into Skyfire Mountains and discovered an untapped exp goldmine.

I zoned in from BW and wandered in until I came to a place where the zone began to open up (near the wizard and druid rings I believe). There was a large boulder off to the left and this is where I set up camp.

My spell line up was as follows:

Darkness
Splurt
BoD
Invoke Fear
Drain Soul
PoS/Lich (I swapped them out as needed)
Aug Death
FD

Here's what I did. I pulled with darkness, sic the pet, fear, DOT. I kept Lich up and would tap when my health got below 50%. PoS was just in case but I really didn't need it. Everything that I saw (and there was a lot) was DB to me (51). I got 1-2 ticks a kill and decent loot (words, wings, scales etc). There was also very little down time between pulls.

Watch out for the Chromodracs (sp?). They have a nasty AE dispel that kills your buffs (and your pets). They also have a nasty fire DOT and stun. But, as long as you keep them feared they're a peice of cake. Also, the mobs path toward the BW zone when you fear them so no worries about adds.

All in all, this is a good spot for those of you who are looking for something a little different or are looking for a good spot to get some good exp. One last point of interest, the wurms and such are on Kunark dragon faction so you take a hit everytime you kill one off. Happy hunting :D !

Aye, I was in SF last night. When zoning in from OT hang a left & setup shop & just pull to there. The feared mobs take this long walk around the the left. Well, I guess I got greedy & went to the right side of the ramp. I pull a drake & the darn thing starting walking right through the middle of the zone. I aggroed a wyvern & a mature wurm. I got fear off on the wyvern, but the wurm laughed & kept coming. I did get the exp from the drake I first starting fight (Pet killed it) I zoned to clear aggro.

Here is what pissed me off.

I cleared aggro by zoning. I ran back in with Gather Shadows up & went for the body to loot. Of course when I went to loot GS dropped & a nearby wurm aggroed. I grabbed the loot and ran. Doing everything quickly I looted a Pearl Frag. :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Running to the OT zone I did / & saw that there were two clerics in the zone. It happened yesterday afternoon & I still feel bad...

I've had crap luck fear kiting here, I keep losing critters to the fear-poofing bug.

I killed a few in SF. BW was really bad for Fear Poofing. At least one in fifteen would pop...

I find it easier to grab some jboots or sow potions or run3. Just pull with dark splurt ebolt then send in pet and just keep backing up and sitting down. stay on walls there are little adds. Just whenever ebolt wears of you have like 20 sec to land darness again so i just start after ebolt wears. takes about 2 darkness 2 ebolts one splurt on the reg mobs ie. wurm wyvern nothing special in the name. The elders old matures firwalkers take a few more but its all pretty simple. If you want to be easy can get there with kei if its for sell when it wears just go to liching but i have demi lich now so dont even bother with kei. Gl and if you can take ancient who summons he will drop you some nice spells) Pet tanked him a few days ago.

Also if darkness wears off mobs will poof on walls or slopes so make sure to keep that on at all times. ONly notice it when they are below 20% though.
