[Umbrello]

So I'm leveling my 2 ALTs because I need a break from the exp grind with Umbrello...

22 Shammy and 23 SK in Echo caverns...needlites, right?

So this green newt bard runs up to me while im leveling and is like HI! I said, please leave zone, i dont like having other teams in same zone when I'm leveling, it makes me uneasy.

So he's like, why? Why cant I be in same zone? I'm like, dude its a fuggin PvP server get out!

So I chased him out, didnt kill him just chased him out. So he sends me a tell "Well thats the end of your night here." I didnt take him seriously, but I'll give him credit he was a persistant little fukhead.

So he logs on his main ARCHEVIL and kills my alt, funny thing is he said he was only going to kill the one who said he couldnt be in the zone, the other alt, who he thought was a different person he said "was cool, and would leave him alone". He then shouts in /ooc "ill be back every 10 minutes to kill you." I didnt take him seriously, but he did just that for about 4 hours.

So I logged on Umbrello, and used the alt as bait. Archevil, even con ranger, IN ECHO CAVERNS(indoor zone, no room for casters to run) shows up right on schedule and kills my alt, and I send in pet, land Funeral Pyre, and he bolts to zoneline. The rest of the night I spent chasing him all over, and calling him a poos cussing at him etc. He's like, Youre a necro I cant fight you. Freakin moron realizes if he'd stand and fight me he might actually stand a chance, we were indoors he's a melee! MORON! GRRR I was so mad. I'd log off umbrello and log my 2 alts back on and 5 mins after I was on he'd log back on Archevil and kill me, then run and camp before I could get Umbrello. Finally I got another necro to help, but he would just zone hop, and run to shadowhaven where he has Max ally.

Guess he should be running though, the one spell I landed on him all night(only one I could land because the rest of the night he would run out of range.) Funeral Pyre got him to 30% from full health. What a weakass fukhead! You have to suck not to stay and fight an even con caster indoors. Man he got me mad...there was nothing I could do, he'd just talk shyt saying "HAH I still killed your friend (my 22 alt) with you standing there!" I'm like, you moron, you freakin ran like a girl right after you killed a character 40 levels below you.

All I wanted was to kill him and sit on his corpse for a bit, or find out who his alts were so i could do the same!

I dont like to CC people, but I do get angry. You will only get what you deserve.

If anyone from Sullon reads this, please put a hit out on Archevil. I despise that guy now.

Almost makes you want to buy a Time Geared Toon from PA and do a server transfer just to hunt his arse down for the next 2 months.

Hope you smoke is arse but good someday and just have your team camp his corpse till his account expires.

Heehee, I'll put out a hit on Archevil if you meet my requirements:


a) Become a nuisance to Hamadryad
B) Make Tery's life miserable (and yes, Tery is evil too and I don't think I've ever even been in the same zone, but geez he pissed me off the other day in tells)
c) Explain to me why there are dolphins in the music video on Much french kiss right now
d) Get all the girls you know who play on Sullon to submit pics for the calendar (and don't even ask how I got roped into promotion)
e) Allow me to make lettered lists without the b becoming a smiley

I think that should about do it :D Consider him on my 'must hit' list.

Rake up a few people to just track him and his alts down and kill them over and over if you can. orig's suggestion is a good one if you can do it.

According to SOE policy, there are no regular server xfers w/gear to or from SZ. Same applies to the Stromn and FV servers. You can, however, move back and forth to Stormhammer from SZ, I think.

Anyway, good luck coining that punk ranger and camping his corpse for a while. Sometimes I miss playing on a PVP server, then I remember that I don't have time to sit at a zoneline waiting for some retard to repop from his zone-dancing/zone-plugging antics, so that I can camp his corpse and ruin his game to keep him from ruining mine.

You might try a different tactic when you see him again... like log out your chars, log on another alt of yours, watch for him to log his alts back on for xp, then log quick and either kill or (better yet for xp loss) dump a train on his alts when he's xp'ing. Then camp his alt's corpses with your main. Just an evil thought.

That's certainly the most important philosophical rule on a PvP server, SZ in particular.

My funnest times on SZ involved griefing the enemy so hard that they logged out in disgust. That's when you know your mission is truly accomplished.

I understand that you can now have multiple characters per account on SZ, which sort of ruins it if you ask me. It was nice back when once their character was gone, the person was not present on the server anymore, at least not on that account. That enables /who list spying by people who got their ass kicked, which opens up situations of lameness like the one mentioned above.

But, as you say, better to outsmart them and punish them for it, rather than to cry about it. Which is why I tried to offer my own constructive suggestion.

Heres an idea for you. I dunno much about your PVP server. But if you are allowed to coin there heres what you do the next time he camps you like that. He kills you.....run your alts to the bank. Get out 2k in copper. split it and manage your way to your camp somehow. Wait for him with umbrello on. Wait for him to kill your toon since you are baiting him anyways. When he loots hes too heavy to run. Then beat his sorry ass into the ground.

Problem with that is, a lot of people on PvP servers are real pros at destroying their cash when they are being PK'ed, just to deny the PKer a monetary reward. So, if this ranger is on his toes, he will simply destroy the copper and haul ass as soon as Umbrello shows up on the /who list.

Also, the "coining" term I'm referring to is SZ-specific, and not relating to the money you loot off your victims. On SZ, when you kill someone in your same level range, you are awarded with a coin that symbolizes that you killed that person. SOE was supposed to implement a way to turn those coins in for some sort of reward, although they hadn't done it yet when I played on SZ.

I believe that goodies and neuts can turn in their coins for corpse pots, but evils don't get anything for thier coins. My coins just make a pretty collection collecting dust in my bank.

I had a run in on Stromm with an obvious ebayer the other day

Ok this is what happened...

Setting up our guild group in PoS to kite frogs after a raid to get a few xps in before heading to bed. Have 3 necros, 1 bst, 1 ranger to kite. All chilling up on the hill and talking...frog here and there...

Finally we decide to get another class to join us and so we grab a 65 chanter out of the LFG channel. Necro goes to pick the chanter up at zoneline because he doesnt know where the frog camp is. Understandable.

Enchanter gets invited. Necro says "Alright follow me". Chanter_01 says "how do I follow?". After about 10 mins he gets him to follow and they get to the camp. We are sitting there and a few mins goes by. The chanter just stands there staring at us. "Arent you going to cast any spells?" I said. (Keep in mind that this guy is chinese or something because he cant speak english to save his life...im going to have to translate). He takes out VoQ and tells the group something to this effect of: "I am going to cast VoQ. I dont know if this spell works on everyone in the group but here it goes anyway."

So obviously we all get VoQ. This guy is totally ignorant when it comes to Everquest. On the other hand with his AA title hes a 65 who has gotta have over about 50AAs atleast...

So I think to myself "maybe he has good gear to make up for his lack of knowledge somehow?" I head over to inspect him to see what kind of gear he has. A second later I come to find out that he has 5 items total in his inspect menu. Earring of the Solstice and 4 pieces of ornate (all NODROP items fyi). Thats it. Not even cloth for a few AC. Hes a half nekkid erudite chanter. My guild group are all sitting in teamspeak talking about how this guy has definately got to be ebayed.

Later on in the group he says that he has to go afk (still hasnt cast a single spell since VoQ...I guess he thinks that is his only spell) and says "I have to go talk to my mother and fuher". We are all like what the hell is a fuher? A german leader in World War 2?

Foreign, Cant play his class, lvl 65+AAs, all spells, and only a few pieces of nodrop gear?

ive fought him before umb, and was one of the easiest coins ever lemme give ya some tips. 1. have banshee aura up since hes slashing so quick he might as well take 12 dmg each time. 2. use tap over time, i dont know which u have i use bond of death cause im lvl 56. after landing that use Cessation of cor to lower their AC and STR. then just tap them followed by a kill nuke(u use neurotoxin i use torbas) easy kills rangers unless they are hunters

Man that does make me wanna bring my ranger and smoke him. Funny thing is too that you could have so much fun just chassing him down, or wait a few weeks then go back and find him when he does not expect it. I would also love to take my 65 rogue with 422AA over there and give him a surprise backstab...or bust out one of my disciplines.

Anyways at those levels i could cream any tank with my friends necro so even indoors i think you would of won him. POWER TO THE NECROMANCER
