Hot Zones: New Hot Zones have been created! Be on the lookout for new items and content in the following zones:
Level 20 The Castle of Mistmoore
Level 25 The Permafrost Caverns
Level 30 Trakanon's Teeth
Level 35 The Warsliks Woods
Level 40 The Dawnshroud Peaks
Level 45 Velketor's Labyrinth
Level 50 The Deep
Level 55 The Temple of Droga

Nice to see the first PoP zone in the hot zones list is one we necros are fond of in the 60s.
Question for Shelobe (or any other folks from the Mac server): Does Al'Kabor get hot zones? Just curious.

Hasent The Temple of Droga been bugged since last year?Maybe they actually fixed it for the hotzone release.

I farm Droga once every month or so for trib loot for all my toons. Droga has been fine since they patched it a year or so ago, except that they just made some of the PHs (King Dronan, most specifically) roam, instead of stick at their old static spawn points. For the record, I've found King Dronan in the large rooms down by the Nurga zl before when clearing cave lords.
There is a ring of named not far from the old King Dronan spawn point. Starting there, you can hit about 20 different named/PHs in 20 minutes. Since mobs respawn in about 20 minutes here, you can get three shots at each PH in an hour. Trib loot from here is anywhere from 1.2k-10k trib per loot (not counting the CHoS).
That being said, I didn't go back to check it yesterday to see if this is still the case.
One other thing: I've found a Shimmering Shard (Velks lab) and a Gleaming Shard (Dawnshroud Peaks) while running through the hotzones looking for new AC augs for my baby war alt, and seen a few other shards linked from other hotzones. Anyone know what these are for yet?

I think what's meant by "bugged" is that prior to that stealth revamp, there was a progression from the entry point of Nurga to the King and from FM to the King where the mobs went from green to 70 to DB to 70 (this is based on the /con system prior to the revamp of that as well).
After the stealth revamp of Droga, there were green/LB/DB mobs all intersperced willy-nilly, and the static spawns for named were now random (or random within a relative area). I had a hell of a good time farming here with my BST prior to the revamp -- and haven't been back since. It was a nice place to dig your way in deep (or invis down) and just farm the hell outta those gobbies, but since they fubared the mix of mobs and all that, well....just made it not as worthwhile somehow.
My favorite part of the new hotzones is that HoH and NC are now hot.
I'm not sure which is more suited to Necro farming (if you're bored of other spots), but I heard a particularly loud ranger on my server yesterday talking about how he was able to "rake in" 4aa in one lesson burn. He was estimating 25 sec/mob in HoH.

Yeah, I bet rangers are having a field day there with head shot.
Necros will not see that rate.

I was in HoH last night for a bit with both my necro and my main (75 ranger) and I can tell you for certain mobs in HoH are not headshotable (headshootable?) I was only getting 4-6% aaxp per kill without leason, but on Minday, all I can say is WHOA. I was knocking out 12% aaxp/kill, with 2x xp potion (no leason on necro yet) it was 1aa every 4 kills. I was able to continually pull, without stopping for the entire 30 minutes, I think I knocked out 4 or 5 aa's in that time, all at 64.

Yeah, should have been a but in there, 12% was normal aaxp, 25% was with potion up.
