Hi, been having a tough time getting any decent exp lately. I only have 2hrs each night starting at 9pm est. Lately takes me about that long to get a grp. If anyone can tell me a good spot that I can go to solo or get a grp fast on the Nameless Server please let me know, I would really appreciate it. I took on a Named Mob last night because he was Dark Blue and had him down to 87% and realized it was time to get out of Dodge or he'd have killed my _ _ _. Pet was doing well in beginning and I was able to stack just about every dot I had on him, but then sat for few mins with lich on lifetapped him some but wasn't doing much. He went to about 83% but then realized I couldn't take him alone. To bad might have had some nice loot. Will go back and try him in a few more lvls I guess. Anyway my point is I was going to head to Chardock but was told that at entrance there were Skellies that would lifetap me and cast, if I was lucky enough to get past them then I should be fine. Please give me what ever help you can, starting to thnk I'll never get 56.

I like PoM pulling at the zone in. Agro kiting. Pot9 or Spiritual Dominion really help to keep low down time. I do have to med after each kill. Plus this zone is really easy to get to, so not much travel time if you only have a couple of hours.
I've been using Cascading Darkness, EBolt, Splurt, Heal over Time, and deflux as my spell line up, FD and Augment and Instill round out the list
I try to pull mostly blues.

I hate to say it b/c I still use the spot, PoJ in the hall that takes you to enforcers on one end and poj trials at the other has 4 charmable wraiths that spawn when you walk in. I am happy with it, and if it's camped no one minds if you steal one of the wraiths to keep as a pet.
I got decent xp on it, just keep ST memmed for pet control and root your targets to make up for charm breaks. Rest is all charm pet common sense. Hasted the wraiths hit for 134 and fast - but like all charm pets they have little aggro, unless you give them stun whips.
Now - no stealing my camp spot until I'm done with it in a few more levels.

I also did PoM for a couple of levels, just a couple of comments...
They are nearly all single pulls.
They hit hard!
They seem to move pretty fast unsnared so a fail can cause some difficulty if you don't have spell haste on your cascading darkness, iirc I would start to snare as soon as they were in range but I still got hit by the time I had finished casting. I loaded a low level (but faster) darkness alongside cascading. This meant I could slow them up enough to get cascading off without being hit.
I also did a couple of duo sessions with a Druid. This was 200% safer and still good xp.

PoM was great when I used to consider it my 2nd home, PoN being my first. Getting to PoM takes like no time either once you get Levant; just hit the GD stone in PoK, evac, and you're like 10 sec from PoM.
Lately, PoM has seen more activity on Veeshan *grumbles*... I like to go there to help some alts of friends lvl quickly.

PoM Insights...
I can agro kite almost non-stop in PoM now, think I have gotten this zone down..
I use dooming, as you need to be sure to snare, snare, snare.... Keep it that way, snare every 45 seconds.. Takes less mana to use dooming than BoD..
Also, root is your friend here, big time.. If I get a resist on the first snare.. I run a bit and root it. Root is so much faster than engulf. After it's rooted, I then engulf, splurt, and ignite blood. I find Splurt and Ignite Blood have avery, very low resist rate here.. Actually, don't recall them ever getting resisted here.
Now, I basically do this..
Pull with dooming.. then root. Splurt, Ignire Blood, and BoD it, at the start of the fight. I just let it sit there rooted until it's 92 health or lower. Right at 92/90 health, resnare and wait for root to drop. Then send in pet, and kite away.. Trying to time engulf to 1.5 minutes will get you killed here.. Far too many resists on Engulf (even at 56) to push my luck on timing.. I can engulf it every 45 seconds (roughly) and even if I get a resist, I still have time for 3-4 more attempts at engulf.. I hate losing pets, but pets aer cheaper than manaskin peridots.. so If it getgs out of control, I just root it for 30 mana..
The dots + pet, keep my mana between 60-90mana mostly.. rarely run real low.. No sense in killing it so fast, I have to sit and med.. and I just hate resists.
Seems like a good system for me, at least :)
Oh yeah.. the use of my pet "get the hell off" key, gets pet off or rooted mobs, wondrfully..
/pet back off
/pet follow me
on same hotkey.

Could someone please explain how to get to PoM? EQ Atlus is missing several maps and I have never been there but would like to give it a shot myself. Thanks!

at 55 I loved PoStorms. Now you are probably thinking "soloing at a tier 2 plane at 55? thats suicide!" Well as long as you don't get hit (or have virtue on) you will be fine. The lorok frogs (ill explain how to get to them) hit HARD, doubling 580 a hit and backstabbing for (almost always) death. Well obviously that means you CANNOT get hit. However what is GOOD about this place is considering they are red, you WILL get resists but not as many as they seem to have LOW resists. Also considering their level they have the single lowest HPs I have ever seen (around 12k). They dont' cast spells, they have CRAZY regen if you get out of their aggro range (otherwise they won't "heal" themselves), and basically as long as you are careful they can be kited fairly easily (just don't get hit). The exp is spectacular, 2-2.5% exp a kill, and despite taking slightly longer then PoM you are gaining exp abou 1.5 times as fast. To get there take a left after zonin, and follow the first river you see to the north (skirt the giants they have a huge aggro range had a hell of a CR first time I ran into them) until you run into a "dead end". then (you have DMF right) swim underwater through a tunnel and follow the zone wall to the right until you run into XXXX the mysterious (A bit non-kos giant). It is like halfway across the zone so don't worry you will run into him eventually (you can't miss him) and nothing will aggro on the way there.
Once your there set up camp, and if you head to the left a bit there is some froggies who are open for your kiting needs :D . Just pull with dooming, if that doesn't stick try to get clinging then dooming, and pull back to the giant (nothing except giants and other froggies will add) add your favorite dots (splurt and ebolt are nice) and run around, remember to refresh dooming every once in a while (it lasts 1:30 seconds I would get a timer, there is a couple nice UI timers that you can get) and have fun. The rogue pet (especially with some mage toys attached) WILL get aggro after a while so to keep aggro on remember to fear every once in a while (it won't hit but it will aggro them like crazy) and despite taking slightly longer then PoN or PoM mobs it will pay off in the end.

In order to get to PoM, take the GD stone and then Levant and you will be right next to where you need to be (if you are unlucky and are missing this spell, run all the way down the river to the very other side of the zone). In the river at the edge of the zone you will see a little dollhouse... click on it to zone into PoM.
The mobs discussed here are the ones that are among the trees near the zone in.
There are no maps in the zone. You can print one off from EQ Maps (http://www.eqmaps.com/maplist.php3) but it is mainly for use inside the castle, and is still very confusing. If you decide to venture into the castle, you need a group, and you should ask for someone who has been there before to guide you.
The zone out is in the trees. When you are at the zone in point, begin to click in front of you in the trees until you get the 'You can't reach that' message. Follow this message clicking in front of you and you will eventually hit the spot and zone into COBALT SCAR. Needless to say, you will probably be gating out, and this is not a solution if you loose control of your mob.
IMO, this is the best place for two necromancers to duo for quite a few levels because of the nature of the mobs and the pulls. I've duoed with most classes here, and the mobs never go down as fast or with as few problems as when my partner is another necro.

Hi, 56 still but over half way to 57 now, been solo in PON and find as long as not to crowded can do quite well here. I plan to be here for quite some time. Been duoing with a few necros most were a couple lvls higher then me so was faster kills and great exp. I figure I can go all the way to 59 before I decide to leave here, but not sure on that. Thing that made most difference to me was the using Dooming Darkness instead of Cascading because of faster cast times, and with /pet taunt off pull with Dooming, followed by CoC, run sick pet, cast splurt, and BOD, then 1 more cast of CoC and mob is very dead. Only prob I have had was pet taking aggro a couple times resulting in me FD and wait for mobs to leave if not already low enough for me to finish off. If you get a grp here you will see you exp bar move pretty fast. Just info I have learnt in last while there. By far my favorite spot to date. Thanks to all that gave me advice with POM, PON and POJ. (Still havn't gone back to POJ though).
