Told her I don't twitch unless it comes down to win or loss crunchtime against the clock. She says Necros are batteries LMAO Ummm no dipstick i'm a DPS class. Get your facts right She Then asks how long i've been playing 3 -4 months? I said try almost 3 years she says well i've been playing 5. Not bad. I was in a LDoN the other day with me, pally, warrior, druid and two shammies. Neither shammy was using canni. The one that was designated MH was saying OOM after every mob. I wish I was exagerrating. I told her to use canni so she wouldnt be OOM after every fight. She said that canni wouldnt help her.... I hope they werent holding their breathe waiting for me to pump them some mana because it wasnt going to happen.
Let's see, pally pulls a mob. Shammy says she is at 60% mana (she is standing there, not medding and not using canni). Mob gets there, pally, warrior and pets jump in. Oh, and what have we here, the shammy is meleeing! Then she screams OOM after the mob is dead and we wait another 5 minutes for her to med. Unbelievable. I'm surprised I didnt pull all my hair out.
I wanted to leave so bad but stuck it out. Somehow we managed to collect the last piece with less than a minute left.

Sounds like that shammy should learn her character before she buys a couple hundred plat and donates for a powerlevel

I had the experience of a LDing shammy who wanted to be MH. The sob LDed on a pull of 2. Mob resisted Rest the dead and came after me dragging his buddy along. Hell everything was ok till the only tank split on us after the shammy LDed. Ended up loosing with 5 more to collect. Neither the warr or shammy liked the tells they got from the rest of the grp when they reappeared IG.

Shaman that don't canni make baby Jesus cry.
As far as LinkDeaths go: Eh, those happen. I fail to see how acting like a berk when he reappeared would help matters. The tank who took off deserved a steaming chunk of your opinion. The shaman didn't, unless he sucked.
Edit: Just noticed you're 52-ish. A low 50s shaman just isn't very effective main healer in a dungeon. Nothing like chaining Superior Heal or Chloroblast to suck up the mana. Hmm... I wonder how well Stoicism would work at those levels for between-fight top-off.
As a newer player (4 mths now) I've noticed that the older the other non-necro player the more they seem to stick with the philosophy that necro's are mana batteries. These are the same people that will only use a necro in a group out of desperation when they cant find a 6th for an ldon. Also notice to that these players seem to cause more ldon losses because they cant adapt to the newer style necro class that recent changes seem to have made. My response is usually the same as the rest of you.
My standard response for ..hey necro, I need a twitch. is
STBU
to which they usually reply ..what does that mean.
to which i say..
Sucks To Be U.
I have plenty of mana.

The shammy snaring heal works pretty well. There is a difference between a Linkdeath and a /Q linkdeath. The only thing that I don't understand is the shammy didn't logg back on till the groupleader logged.

Just a little thought here...
I've been playing a while, and have noticed an ever-so-slight change of view when I venture off into pick-up-group land. I don't do this out of necessity usually, I just like to toy with people sometimes, heh. Anyway...the group conversation usually goes like, ok we have a druid healer, and 2 wizards, a chanter, necro paladin...that's cool the necro can twitch the druid and rez if the paladin dies....at which point I don't say much.
Buff up, enter dungeon....
At this point, I'll make a pet, and usually the paladin won't wait and will pull 2-3 mobs and I'll just continue to cast SoS, RoD, shrink pet, hit rejuvenation (to time buffs) mem whatever spells I'm gonna use, and then stand up. Now we have good group dps but, probably pretty sloppy agro control since it's a pick up, so I'll use zevfeer's alot to heal the wizards. After 3 pulls or so, I'll get the "LOM" from the druid (dundundun). I'll mem mindwrack and single pull a bit, until they say ok...I got good mana, at which point the rest of the group will say, holy shit...I do too! Thanks jeb....Which I'll 50/50 read or not since I'm watching TV. I then explain that I'm tapping casters to give the group it's mana, not giving them all my own, <insert plug for YOU CAN'T POSSIBLE FRIGGEN USE MY MANA BETTER THEN I CAN>
Then do all those wonderfull things like root rot 3 adds that you pulled on purpose cuz your bored, or tom tank a few mobs just cuz you can....maybe CC, who really cares it's a pick up ldon. You don't need a tank or cleric/healer to win, we're necros....

heh, last Ldon I did on Myz was horrible.. Cleric died on a big pull, lost kei, whined about mana for around 30 mins, we gave him 10 mins to med, he said 30m. another 20 mins goes buy he says 40m.. I was like, WTF you have Minus thought 18???? Anyways, at the time we only needed 12 kills for collect win, and we started to pull, two rangers, myself, chanter (who left coz of frustration) and a warrior and the gimp cleric. Well.. for those of you who havent played a cleric they get a spell early in life called "divine barrier" which is 15-18 seconsd of basically "God mode" where nothing can hurt y0u but u cannot cast spells either.. he didnt have that spell even memmed during his heal aggro death. that usually gives tanks/rangers ample enough time to get aggro back, and besides the point, it pretty much eliminates aggro off the cleric coz the mobs realize they re not doing any damage, and move onto someone else. Anyways, at this point we pulled one more mob to try to win the f'ing addy, warrior tanked, I dps'd sicced pet, and was doing HoT's on him, all the while the cleric medded, and casted SUPERIOR HEALS ON THE TANK with 5k or so hps. heh, superior heals do about 583 heal.. 612ish if you have improved healing.. big deal. CH does 7500. With similar costs of mana. I was in tells with him and asked him how his mana was, and he kept sayign 20 or oom. He had the nerve to tell me, "dont necros heal" ? I was like "yes, yes we fucking do, but I dont do those when I have 12% life u imbecile". I never asked for a heal, was bod'ing tapping when I got low..then gettin off hot's when I could, coz he refused to heal.. heh, I told him, if u are trying to get a twitch from me, you re gonna be waiting a long ass time coz I dont twitch noobs who cast quickie heals instead of ch's when its not even needed depleting mana pools on worthless heals. From here on out... I will only ldon with guildies. IF we have to use a cleric, I ll be damned sure hes not wearing a ROBE liek that one was: / he looked like a fekkin highelf mage, heh, anyways, had to get that off my chest :D

I just wanted to add my 2cp in on this topic...
Unfortunately, many clerics I have grouped with on my necro are insane. I don't know if they are alt bots or twinks or actual noobs, but it upsets me when people don't fully understand their character but continue to level
My main is a 65 cleric and I seem to have no problems with mana management. Maybe it's becasuse I was not twinked and had to learn to heal more effeciently/effectively or maybe it's because I have taken the time to understand my class...
As to understanding other classes and the roles they play, I make alts and I play them until I feel I have somewhat of an understanding of the class. (however, I absoloutely LOVE my necro and won't give her up :) ) As a cleric, you have to know what each class is doing and why they are doing it to be able to heal effectively.
First thing I do when I get in a group is ask the shammy to make me a special hot key for canni 5 so I don't crap my pants when he goes from 100 to 20% life...and I ask my necro what % he/she wants a H.O.T., obvisiously I will heal them if a mob is beating them down.
As for my mana management, I have 4.2k mana on my 65 cleric, which is low, but I deal. Only time I will ever be under 50m is if I have been killed or if there is an extremely bad pull. At this point, I will state my mana. If I see that I have been twitched, I say thanks, but then ask the necro not to twitch me unless I'm at 5m and the tank is below 30% :). Yes, there are people in the group who thinks the cleric should be twitched 24/7, but I'm the cleric and I don't want twitched b/c the more he twicthes me and doesn't do his class job the more I have to heal the gimp ass tank. Totally mana in-effiecient for two classes at that point.
Anyway, that's just my thoughts on the subject, and a generalization on how I play my cleric.

I dunno, maybe I learned to play my necro different.. (soloed at least 30 of my 52 lvls) and when I learned that I could give people mana, well damn I almost love to do it (granted, there are stupid people that don't deserve it, like the previously spoken individuals). But most of the time I sit in a pile of bones with never less than 75m because I cast like 3 dots and tap on occasion, send pet, dead.. so since I have this stockpile, if the cleric or whoever says they're low (maybe I've just been blessed with smart people groups) I just twitch'em a few times and they're happy as a clam. Never really had a problem with stupid people.. but hey, I'm sure I'll be running into them more and more these days..
