Hmm...that is interesting.
I've always been told that cha mattered for some agro, such as a failed pacify on a cleric (higher cha means a better chance of not getting agro on a resist).
I would say that it's more then likely just as borked as the other stats though, probably still based on a max of 255.

CHA is Lucy's answer to most things it doesnt understand, If you look at a lot of spells, your going to see CHA mods in there.

Could just be me, but I've always been told that CHA past 100 didn't matter for anything, and that 100 CHA just gave you the bargain basement vendor prices.
I could be very mistaken, as I've never really charmed much, nor played a charm/mez/pacify heavy class, but I am pretty sure that CHA doesn't do much (if anything) past 100. Even then, I don't think it affects spells at all.
Anyone have info to the contrary?

it definitely affects charm, and secondary checks on many spells (like paci, and others) regarding whether or not you get aggro afterwards. i dont feel like searching the interweb but i *have* seen it posted and verified by a developer. possibly even in some patch notes from way back when.

Also higher charisma (without the 105/110 cap that vendors use) will reduce the price of training from Guildmasters. At least it continued to go down all the way to 255 back in the day when you could train Research up to 200. Not sure how useful this is for anyone, but there you go.

My wife plays a chanter, so I know a little bit about the Charisma Debate. I remember leveling of my nec and arguing with other necs the importance of a high CHA to us, at least for those times of fear kiting. 132 is the magic number with vendors. They won't get any cheaper or pay anymore for stuff past that point. It sucks when I die and have to summon cause my lizard's naked CHA sucks so bad, and I am too absent minded to buy the medallion thingie ahead of time. Back in the days of fear kiting my wife always buffed my CHA and it always made a noticeable difference in how well the fear worked. Was the same result with my ranger when I would fear kite animals too. It's also important to us if we mez or pacify. As far as it affecting how aggro works at low health, I can't say with the surety of a Dev, but I've never noticed anything like that happening. There's been plenty of times where I, my wife, or guildies have been at low health and nothing short of a miracle seems to pull the mob off.

Finally got a chance to log on and pay attention to myself use Lifeburn. I went from 399 Cha to 453. I got an increase of 54 Cha while I had Lifeburn recourse on me.

I'll have to remember chk next time I get bored and nuke w/LB.
That's about 1x a day, bought the dumb AA when I was in a raiding guild, might as well use it.
Anyone else notice that it kills both WTD & normal pets at times or did I sleep thru that announcement too?

What the CHA really does here is adds 0.0000001 seconds onto the amount of time it takes a mob to kill you once the ae's you're taking drop you to low hp agro mode, after you've cast 75% of your hp to do 0.01% damage to the raid mob :)

Seems to happen if the mob has taken minimal damage from dark & before any othe the other dots get loaded on. I try to do it early sometime to get a guesstimate of a mobs hp.
