What is a good spot to root rot in Steam or Ship?

I normally don't ask for hunting advice as I always use trial and error on my own but I want to verify if others have the same issue.

I have been trying to root rot in Steam Factory with limited success. Specifically, in the huge open room to the west that drops off into space.

I have found if I get anywhere near a wall, the mobs immeadiately warp to me and do bad things to me.

It should be noted that I am not trying to do the "Attiki Dance" for an artificial advantage. It just seems the pathing in Steam is very bad or purposefully coded that way to discourage exploiting.

I did find the 4 steamsuits on the long bridge to be easy to split and kill but they have a million HPs and don't drop the nice tradeskill stuff.

Any super sekret advice would be appreciated.

I havent had a problem with root rotting in any of the corridors, or kiting in the wide open areas in the hangar area. Ive also never seen any warping in any of these areas. In Steamfactory anyway, havent tried SHIP

If Im kiting the hangar I generally pull over the big tube on the ground so as not to catch any extra roamers from going around the elevator thing, just be wary of the roamers that use the elevator.

The only real annoyance Ive seen here is the wrench to the face/knock me down/stun me thing they do, but if you keep your distance, can usually avoid that too

I've done Alloy Sampling, Breaking Things Down and am in the process of doing Power Station Blueprints.

I usually park myself at the red X's and pull the mobs where the yellow M is. Nothing sees invis so can run up and target first. I usually snare the mob farthest away. When they all come, I FD and snare the last to leave (if you can, try to get rid of the foundry roamers first), FD again and wait for the "your enemies have forgotten you". You can also use a pet to pull from around the corner just so you have as much time as possible to be in place and starting to cast snare. Even after I get the "your enemies have forgotten about you" message, snare is still ticking so I can safely pull the mob and not worry about the adds. Just make sure you keep it rooted. There is no room to run past without getting tagged. If I have to, I pop a celestial healing before I run past and/or click Robe of Whispered Death. Remember to switch sides every other mob. Once you break that area, it's a piece of cake to keep it clear since you can then root rot inside the room, just keep watch for the 2-3 foundry roamers.

The minos and gnome wanderers will warp on you if you don't shed agro.

Thanks Arkayn and Dead. I'll try the location on that map.

On my second pull, I ran up the wall slightly in the corridor and bam. 20 mobs warped onto me. I guess I just suck.
