View Full Version : Mana Regen Question
Hello all, hope I'm posting this in in the right section.
Anyways, I'm level 28 Noobie Necro and I wonder is it better to use a mana regen potion or Allure of Death when grinding long sessions?
Sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere, I couldn't find it.

I would say get used to the hp loss from lich... there might be a time (depending on your gear) that lich might out dmg your hp regen....
plus lich is free...

what he said ....
and using lich will make you use life tap to recover hp, which is another clas defining spell =)
Save you plat for heal pots in case FD fails and you need to take a few hits.
Btw, Life tap ftw!! I tap tanked a dark blue summoning named NPC yesterday in TBS. Love your life tap, hug it daily!! =P

Use whatever will give you the best level of mana regen.
If cash is an issue then use your spell, but otherwise use the best available. Most of the time that will be your lich spells but there are a couple levels where that is not the case.

Levels 1-5 you can use mana pot 1 for 1 mana per tick till you get your first lich at level 6 which is two per tick. Then again from 10 through 17 with mana pot 3. At level 30 you can get one more mana per tick from mana pot 5. After that its lich and nothing else.
Personally, if I caught a necro using mana pots or chanter crack instead of lich at any level, I'd tell them to go roll a mage. (Not that there is anything wrong with a mage mind you .... just ... pets, dps, caster ... it seemed to fit ;))
Thanks for all the infos, guys. :)

May want to find a kindly bard or beastlord to group with. Both have mana/hp regen songs/spells that can make being a necro that much easier (like it needs to be).
