View Full Version : LDoN purchases
I always thought that if you wanted to buy something from an LDoN camp, you could only use points from that particular camp. In other words, you could not use EverFrost points to buy from a North Ro merchant. Am I wrong ? Someone is telling me that once you buy one item from a camp, using points from that camp, you can then buy subsequent items using points earned from other camps ??
Anyone know for sure ?

This is how I have had it work for me.
Example : I have 3k points, 2500 of them being in MMC, and 500 being in Tak
I want a 500 point Tak item. I buy it, and then buy 4 more items from Tak all under 500 points....So I think you can use points from all over but only to the minimum points you have in the dungeon you want to buy from.
Make sense?

To add to your confusion, another explanation:
Your point total in a camp limits the cost of the items you can buy. IE if you have 6800 points total, and have 1500 in Mistmoore you can buy anything, in any combination, for any point cost, in mistmoore until you run out of points. Even though you only earned 1500points in MM. Conversely if you earned 1500 points in mistmoore and Guk, and then went to buy Horror in miragul, you could only do so after acruing 760 total points in Miragul, even though you have 4x that many points you need to "unlock" items for 760 points, once gear is unlocked (from reaching total points earned at a camp) you can use points from any camp, to repeatedly purchase items at that point cost.
Confused yet?

I think people wouldn't understand that so let me dumb it down for you. As you gain points in a certain area, it will only show you what you can buy with those points. For example if you got 60 points in MMC (butcherblock) you will only see the adventure purchases that is around 60 points and lower, even if you have 200 or something in another area. Now if you have 260 points total (including that 200 from the other area) you can only buy whats worth 60 points or around there, but you can buy 260 points worth. So in other words if you want to buy something that costs so many points, you have to get that amount of points FIRST in the zone you want to buy it in, but you can use points from any zone you want to buy items that have already been unlocked.
Alright that didn't really clear it up, just reworded it but nevertheless you there aren't as many big words (lol).

I'm Gonna take a crack at this now...
Say you've been adventuring in Mistmoore. You've got 750 points saved up from Mistmoore. You want 2 items in Guk, one for 1400 points and the other for 750. You go to Guk, earn 1400 points, buy the 1400 point item. You still have the 750 left over from Mistmoore. You may also buy the 750 Guk item now with your Mistmoore points because you've earned over 750 in Guk trying for the 1400 point item and therefore have unlocked the 750 item to buy with points earned at any camp.
So in conclusion. Once you've earned points in a particular camp, you may now buy any item from that camp, worth that number of points or less, with points earned at any other camp.
I think that makes it alittle easier to understand.

Two points:
Point A: You can buy a item with an adv. point cost that is less then or equal to the adv. points earned in that theme.
Point B: All adv. points can be spent in any theme up to the current earned point total in that theme.
Example:
You have 3000 adv. points. You have earned 760 points in MMC. You can spend all 3k of those points in MMC, on items that cost 760 or less.
That's how it seems to work and how it was explaned to me. Hope it helps.
Yea, I got it back in Jebs post....doesn't matter how many points you got, you can't buy what you can't see :)
