Research for Necro Spells

Hello ,

I have another Newb question..yeah, SOmeday they will stop and I may have a few Answers instead :P
Regarding Necro Research of their spells....is it Possible to have our spells researched by giving our Components to another class with higher Research Skills and Intelligence..i.e.. hand stuff to a Mage with skill 103 to research My level 24 Pet spell ? Please a "Definitive" answer :) Seems I wasted a few (or more) skill up points instead of adding to Research ability and I cannot seem to lure a HIGH Necro into doing it for me on "OOC" on Tunare Server....the Gods KNOW I have tried ..and I have ONLY one Words of Allure (SCARCE !) so I would rather have someone with better skill make the attempt rather than another failure by Me !
Oh, before you say it...yes I always offered to PAY for the service ..as I always do..I am not a freeloader ,hehe.
Would they be able to use their Own Research book or have to use the Necro book ? I know.. silly questions..but thats why all you Very Helpful people are here ...NO ? :unsure:

The answer is simply no. Only Necro's can research Necro spells. The same goes for all the INT casters. We can cross research WIS caster spells from level 50-60 but that's it.

My suggestion to you is to go to PoK and do a /who Necro and see if any plus 50's are out there. You can probably snag one or two and send them a direct /tell begging for help. Somebody snagged me that way in the Bazaar to make Harmsheid for them. He had enough for 3 copies and he let me keep one because I succeeded on all 3.

Turns out I was trying to reseach that one anyways and he was buying the words right out from under me, every vendor I went to, he had just beat me there, lol hows that for Irony, worked for both of us though because he recieved two guaranteed copies and I got mine for free...

Ok bro Thanks a lot for the info will keep trying I am sure someone will eventually take pity on a brother Necro or get sick of seeing the "ooc" LOL. Either way i will prevail.

Rybbs, Schaeffer already answered your question. I just wanted to comment on your response...don't ask for research help /ooc, you will be lucky to get any response. Like Schaeffer says, do a /who necro, and make request to specific necros. To help you out a bit more /who necromancer 60 65 will list only necros in that level range. If you don't find what you are looking for in PoK, /who necromancer 65 all will list every 65 level necromancer logged in. If you are on the rathe, look me up, I'd be happy to do the combine for you.

On the down side, I've run across several 60+ necromancers who never researched anything. Necromancers are SUPPOSED to be scary, but that just makes me wanna curl into a fetal position and suck my thumb.

Ok ...I Did what was suggested and did a /w necromancer 55 65 and contacted a young lady who was lvl 61 , asked and she did my researches (2) and refused any payment. What a woman ....yeah ! :D

It is not that I do not wanna do research it is more about screwing up with my skill points and not havin enough to raise my lvl enough to do those 2 level 24 spells. From here on out I am planning to dump all my skills into that Research skill so I can do it myself and come to the aid of any younger Necros who made the same error I did ,hehe.

Level 50 - 60 you will be so glad you did it!
The words are hard to come by for some of your research only spells, but it's a lot cheaper than forking out mega plat for them.

I can't find the book for researching, my home city is paineel but it wont let me in so I have to find another place to get it can anyone tell me where I can go and who to talk to plz.

yes, almost any necro vendor sell the book, places such as Pok and freeport underground etc.

Unless you've made yourself KOS to Paineel heretics, go to the skelleton guard in the newbie area, target it, and say "I need keys." he'll give you another key to get down into Paineel.

Not sure what you mean about not being able to get into Paineel. But an alternative method to get your book is to make another char, get it to buy the book (not no drop I believe) and use the shared bank slot to make the exchange.
