i have 4/6 CA and i was wondering if i should max that out first or build up the Affliction mastery one in the next tab, they both add chance for crit on each tick, i was just unsure if i should max CA or work on Affliction mastery. Also, if you could list a few more AA's i should work on to make my life aggro kiting/grinding aa xp out i would love your input, im level 72 and any info would be great, thanks for your time

From my experience, the first few ranks of any AA's tend to be the most beneficial (legacy from the early days of AA's when devs made them very powerful per rank).
If you have 0 points spend on Affliction Mastery, I would buy a few ranks of those and then max either.
In all honesty though, when you can belt out 7 or 8 aa's in one half-hour lesson session (if you have lesson of the devoted vet aa -- 3 or 4 aa's if not), it shouldn't be too awful long before you have both maxxed.

Max out your dot crit AA's first and foremost ahead of most everything else. Runspeed to stay out ahead of the mobs. Combat agility to help avoid getting hit, combat stability to mitigate the damage when you do get hit.
Without having a frame of reference for how many AA's you have or where you spent them, not quite sure what other advice to give.

I'd finish out spell casting mastery, run speed and CA to start with. You'll also want to get death peace as well, that will free up a spell gem in addition to a (almost) free FD.
The first few ranks of innate enlightenment and planar power are good investments too if your stats are maxed.
After that you will probably want to start mixing in some other aas: avoidance/mitigation, dd crits, lifetap crits, regen..etc.

First I want to say welcome to EQ. And ask what server you are on?
Secondly, you will find that playing a necro is very fun imo. And you have come to the right place to ask questions. The people that frequent this board are full of good information about everything EQ and necro-ish. If you do not get an aswer to your question right away, just be patient.
Do not worry about the innate stats.
First 3 AA's should be in run speed.
When they consolidated AA's there is no longer a need to get x amount in general tab prior to moving on. But I don't remember at what level certain AA's open up. So, as you level it is best to look through what is open to you as you go. That being said look for the following:
Spell Casting Mastery
Critical Affliction
Mnemonic retention
Death Peace
Pet Discipline
Suspend Minion
Persistent Minion
Affliction Mastery
Blood Tithe
Pet Affinity
Some, critical affliction line, will help you kill faster. Others Pet affinity, persistent minion, are good for keeping a pet that is al buffed up and has toys. And then others, Pet discipline, are for helping to control your pet.

I would add natural durability to that list...otherwise what Todwelt said is right on.

Gates – Critical Affliction 3/3/4 (10%)
Omens – (Improved) Critical Affliction 2/2/2 (16%)
DoD – Affliction Mastery 2/2/2 (22%)
TSS – Blood Tithe 2/2/2 (28%)
TSS – Greater Blood Tithe 1/1/1 (31%)
SoF – Blood Tithe 2/2/2 (38%)
SoF – Greater Blood Tithe 1/1/1 (40%)
Critical Affliction 5/6 and 6/6 provide 2% gain per rank,
Affliction Mastery also provides 2% gain per rank. So the only deciding point on which to buy first would be the AA cost per rank & (any) level requirements.

I'd like to suggest you wait until you hit lvl 55 before start grinding AAs. I've never noticed the bar moves fast enough until you hit that lvl. The other thing is keep the AAs even with your lvl. Unless you're finding groups tough to come by because of your level (and even this won't be a hassle since you're a Necro), it pays to have your class beneficial AAs up to date with your level.
And for the record, my split preference is 80/20. At the end of a long day grinding, I see progress on both bars.

To give an easy answer to your first question:
Affliction Mastery has Critical Affliction 6 as a prerequisite, so there will be no jumping around for you.
