Okay ladies and what passes for gentlemen here..I've been told that tier 3 named "are too hard". Which my general reply to is, 'suck less'. Apparently, other people are saying they're to hard to..which leads me to asking you all, "which tier 3(and only tier 3)named are too difficult".
"To difficult" defined as, unbalanced risk vs reward..not "I can't solo gear top so he's to hard!". When you say a named in zeka, steamfactory or mansion "is to hard", tell me why. Melee damage, mechanics, adds, too many hitpoints etc. Like be as specific as possible.
Kthx..and if you list a whole bunch, expect 'suck less' as a reply!

Exterminator in steamfactory right off the top of my head.
His damage output is pretty insane. Either need a very beefy tank or two healers to handle him.
Get crystallos flagged! Then you won't have to deal with it.

No it's not..it's totally not. Your "suckless" term means, devoid of suck. As in no sucking. My 'suck less' term means to simply not suck as much before. I don't expect perfection like you do(apparently), I only hope to encourage people to try to improve..IE suck less then they did previously. Not be suckless.

There were a few mobs in SF that I ran into that spawned adds that hit as hard as everything else in the zone... and if you didnt take care of the adds, they didnt despawn for another try.

Ironhorn in Steam Factory is kinda a joke, yes I have 1 grouped him, but it has been close. Yeah I can understand Mino's usually hit harder in sof that I have seen, but for his overpowering his loot table is pretty sad, I can go to zeka and pretty much kill any named there 3-4 boxing with even if not better loot then this mob. you could even say this is more difficult then the squires in crystallos(which it probably was before the squire nerfs). That's just one thought, in the most part I think they have done an *okay* job in the most part on sof named.
Zeka is kinda so/so on clearing to anything to kill(which is kinda nerfed with the steam core changers now)
ship is probably the best zone i'd say, there were 2 choices for each class in the zone(again before the core nerf) and even if 1 named popped adds the other did not.
far as zeka/ship most the named are easier then the ph's.
steam factory I really don't go there cause the times I have gotten a group the core mobs I have seen are like a you must have an enchanter for adds or uber group and or do some ridiculous crap like fd the mt and then ur clr gets 1 rounded cause they hit like gods.
mmm I really don't go there, although they have made it easier to get around the zone a few months back I took a group up and we popped the ac aug mob on the top floor, while we were able to kill the mobs to it, it simply owned us being very overpowering and a joke in my book. If you can kill the ph for a named, I firmly believe even if half your group is gimp you should still be able to take said named to 50% or at least make a decent attempt not have some gay shit kill u at 90%.
Basically the named in zeka/ship are more fucking gimp then the ph's and easier to kill, while the named in steam factory/mmm are a lil ungodly to there ph's. If it's all the same balance of loot, there should be some kind of balance in mobs and grouping in zones, not push everyone towards ship cause its a pushover zone.

If your core group members (tank/healer/puller) are raid toons waiting to farm crystallos, these are very easy camps. They are supposed to be easy for such experienced/geared folks.
If your core group members are there because they actually need the cores to upgrade their armor SHIP and SF are kickass hard, and success is entirely dependant on the warrior/cleric combo. The margin of error is nearly non-existent; everybody has to play perfection.
Background: 5 cored pieces currently, 1 to go.
My suggestion: leave the named mobs as they are but lynch maddoc for uberly craptastic risk v. reward item drop choices that rot more often than fire beetle eyes. Don't fix the loot, just get rid of maddoc.

I killed geartop 3 times tonight..and really didn't see the adds as a problem. We brought a chanter, but a paladin/sk could just as easily kited as the group peeled. I guess it just depends on who's there and what you want to do.
I'm not sure what a tank that needed the cores would of looked like on geartop..but like, that bastard has like 15 hitpoints..so even a riposte disc and a ranger or something ws'ing afterwards would probably allow for a win, providing adds are accounted for.
cleric, sk, me, bers, rog, chanter..I'm not sure if that's 'stacked' for dps or not..it seemed average to me(if people are wondering).

Tinytops don't despawn either..there were like 20 of them when we got to the spawn, lol. Apparently someone tried and failed, or someone killed geartop, looted and left the adds. Was decent exp, killing them all..but /shrug. They should probably depop after a while.

I wanna say when I did geartop we had 2war shm druid necro clr. Been awhile I don't recall if the wars had cores before or after encounter, but i'm guessing mt was 19-20k buffed 3500-3700ac and the other tank was 19kish 3100acish. for some reason i'm thinking only 2 adds but maybe thats why we lost since we had 1 tank try to ot adds and 1 tank on named, guess our strat was overflawed back then as I don't really recall any info on the mob back then and only found him cause he was actually up. But I still think the loot vs reward is a joke:

The risk vs reward is a joke in the geartop ac aug vs the other 2 which are similar. someone actually needing the core from this mob I would highly doubt they could kill it, maybe they can, but honestly why even try now with the nerfs, the only thing this mob has that someone would even want is the ac aug. Unless its a boss of MMM with some decent non core drops the difficulty of mobs like this make no sense vs the gear they drop, thats why mmm and steam factory on our server stay EMPTY. Honestly who goes to MMM to camp steamcores?
Here is a post from alla while we don't know there gear/class makeup they had to use 2 groups:
While he is marked in the map, he spawns in more than just that one spot. He can also spawn in the large ante-room to his. Also, he spawns about 10ish adds during the fight, which will NOT despawn after he dies, as someone else mentioned. On top, he hits very hard and fast and has an AE that gets you -1000khp/tick or so. I'll get the name next time we spend hours trying to kill him. We managed him twice, once got us the necrotic core, another the ac aug. Bar none, the toughest single-groupable (and we had two groups) mob we've ever seen. Crystallos nameds are easier than this by a lot.
Fabled PoP was the biggest disaster ever in loot vs risk/reward. Hmm let's go kill TZ(maybe VZ i always get them mixed up) for solteris grade weapons, simple hack slash mob, gimp as hell just time consuming. Let's go to water to kill the sk/pally wep mob for uber wep. Let's go kill the water mob for 60%(or whatever it was fire focii to 80). Both water mobs u could do with 30ish people. Besides Time, RZ, xegony, coinav, FR, pickups on our server tore thru everything else and half the people were gimp as hell and looting badass stuff I think compared to some solteris/maybe sof raid items.
I have no problem with difficulty in mobs scaling in zones, but the loot should at least and not stay the same even if its 20hp/mana, but with the cores you get the same result no matter what. They already tried to fix 1 fuck up by doing all the cores to changeable. They are changing loot tables on named in crystallos and adding some new loot to sof vendors which besides 2 rings is fucking gay as shit and will be totallly useless by those who actually need by the time they hit ally and evolve the item. Honestly i'd like to see ALL THE CORES taken off mobs in MMM and maybe even in steamfactory and see some decent loot vs the risk/reward and maybe take the gay shit 1 item off the core mobs to actually drop the cores everytime the named pops, fuck it i camped all mine before the nerf mise well just hand them out.
