Just wanted to ask if some1 else has made the same experience.

I was hunting/farming in east commonlands for spiderling silk and this is what happened quite often.

On the coprse loot screen i see for a split second 1 or 2 spiderling silks and then they disappear before i can even click on them. leaving an empty corpse.

have only encountered this with spiderling silk so far, dunno if anybody else has experienced something like that too.

Try it out for yourself if you dont believe me, it happens most of the time for me ;)

Is there some kind of special trivial loot code around i dont know about ?

thought that it is only active on the roleplaying server.

Yes Rondana,

This too has happened to me both there and in Steamfont. I see a couple of silks, but then they just disappear :(. I'm not sure what causes it.

I've seen this also, but only on one of my EQ installations.

I think it may be some sort of image caching, and specific to your video settings, drivers, card, etc.

Pure guesswork on my part.

Pay attention to what you loot on the corpse before it. Im not certain but what it looks like to me is you get a relapse of what you just looted. Before you see what is or is not there on the new corpse.

Yeah, it's a brief shot of the last corpse you looted, like it has those images cached and has to bring them up-to-date.

All this is is when you have a brief lag spike while looting (actually looting is usually the cause of the lag spike). Since it can't read what is on the corpse yet it "hypothesises" by showing you your last loot, and after the lag spike is over it brings it up to date, which means it could be empty or whatnot. This also can happen while trading and the like, so don't worry you aren't losing anything--you didn't have it to begin with  .
