Legacy Return 70-80?

Any suggestions for hunting 70-80 for an old retired fart who's returning for the legacy promotion? I last left off running AAs in the Hive and from what I've read I need to go to TSS or TBS next. Anyone have a smooth leveling path suggestion that will help me pick up some gear upgrades along the way? Icefall? TBS faction quests? I'm not familiar with any of it.

Depends on what your gear is like. There's the greenhouse quests in kata(TBS) that will give you faction and good exp at your level. The faction will let you buy spells, eventually. You'll need orum, so don't turn down kata missions. There's soloable orum missions, discussed somewhere on this forum too(you'll need at least 3 people in group to get the missions though).

Straight exp, probably icefall(tss) or Atiiki(tbs) would be best for you ATM. Crocodiles in loping planes, perhaps the dangol fort too, wouldn't be bad. If you get associated tasks, you can probably start working onf akanon and fangbreaker faction now..

Not too hard and kinda fun. Nowdays if you can find a willing researcher that would be quicker, though.

When I logged in on June 4th, I was lvl 69 and camped in Plane of Fire. I started whacking mobs there to 72 when I figured out how to play the class again. Then I picked up on the Katta snake thing which took me all the way to lvl 79. Moved to Loping Planes few nights ago and three yellows into 79. Should ding 80 by that time. So a little over month of moderate play I gained a ton of exp, gear, and spells mostly solo. Not bad...I think EQ is tuned pretty well in the Necro favor atm, more so than when I quit.

Can I box a level 51 toon while I do those katta faction kills/quests to gain xp for both toons?

The level 51 will gain experience from killing the mobs but you will not gain any faction as you can not start the quest till high 60s or low 70s. I forget which level it is. When I first went there I was able to solo the snakes but the quest giver would not give me the quest so I just collected the parts for when he would.
