Anyone heard anything on the Pre-Order yet? I mean, we're only a couple of weeks out and still nothing.

Unless I have my dates messed up, I would have thought we'd at least heard about a date for the Pre-Orders. I still don't have the SoF expansion (so I'm capped at 75) because I decided I'd just wait for this years expansion and get them both in one-fell-swoop.

Ya, I just saw it on your other link and was coming here to correct myself. It looks "ok"..I dunno, no come back in the making though. I hope the rest of you enjoy it. From reading the beta boards, there's like 1 decent spell(new) and some ok to good AA for necros. Sorta status-quo I guess.

Went on sale today. Saw it on EQPlayers.com (http://EQPlayers.com) while I was home for lunch and went ahead and dropped the $40. I'll have to wait until I get back home from work to see if it means anything yet (says it comes with all of the previous "In Game" items.

I need a mount for my Pet Mage, LOL...

Well, I got home from work yesterday, shutdown EQ and reloaded to refresh the program. Only took about 10 min to download updates (and my Broadband here in Okinawa is anything BUT top-of-the-line). Logged into the Server Select Screen and it said that I owned 14 out of 15 expansions.

Hmmmmmm.....

Well, I went ahead and logged into my Bazaar Mule and checked my /claim screen. I had the Hooded ScryKin Card there, but nothing else...

I was a little disheartened. I imagine that I'll get the other loot stuff and the expansion for SoF once the actual SoD is released next month, but JEESH! The whole reson I pre-ordered was for the SoF NOW, LOL!

They usually don't bill you until the expansion goes live. Thus, I guess you don't get SoF until $oE gets their cash.

In regards to the mercs.... are they as powerful as we would expect or is it like having a shrouded cleric/war/dps with you? hehe (joking but not really)

I don't know, EQ has a history of pissing in the ocean and expecting it to turn yellow(IE expecting incredibly small changes to have enormous and profound effect). Usually it takes several expansions for anything new to be worth much(unless they REALLY like the concept). Then again, merceneries aren't new to MMOs, perhaps the development curve of them will be faster since it's been tested on other platforms already? That's my one piece of optimism for the day..

I haven't signed any NDA, if you have specific questions..I wouldn't be opposed to answering some in a general sense. I won't publicly post any beta info..I don't think that represent the website in the correct light. We're necros, any light is bad..bad light is worse.

Charmed pets do, and summoned pets will if you dont do atleast 1 point of damage. So its highly likely based on that. I can't possibly imagine they would give us something for free. But sounds like whoever you heard it from in chat is in beta because, mercs arn't on test yet.

It was brought up at Fan Faire i believe about how mercs will be run, while I didn't go I've heard plenty and as far as I know there is no NDA on Fan Faire is there? If there is, then someone can delete this post I guess, but from Fan Faire there are 3 modes mercs can be in, agressive (more dmg, less heal) neutral (lil both) and forget what other called (but heal heal heal). And yes they will take a very small portion of exp and also count towards exp in a group.
