Servant of Chaos also found on Last Blood of the Beastlord.

Likewise, Minion of Discord also foudn on Bazu Seal of Companions. (hmm, someone is saying this is unattainable in game, is the Last Blood one unattainable as well?)

The lesser DoDH playermade augs might have more of them, but too lazy to check.

I left the DoD augs out because they were removed from the game before going to live, so they never existed on live even though the you can make the mechanoinstructions.

The final combine is DNC by design.

Was thinking of this earlier tonight on a raid actually, and a thread appears where my concerns can be voiced.

Demiplane focused pets once shrunked are still freaking HUGE...

A Skeleton illusion pet would be nice.

Seriously, it seems a Demi focused pet once double shrunk is nearly the same size as a normal unfocused level 59 pet.

Granted this effects a small percentage of players but wow, look at a full sized demiplane focused pet sometime. Thing is like 20 feet tall!

It's some internal number for calculating the pet's hp/ac/max hit etc etc.

+5 pet power is only like +1 max hit or something.

Nolaen's Lifereaper Sandals (30) to Gemstone of Dark Flame (35) is +1 max hit for sure.

The above is wrong heh. The pet power number doesn't do anything. The focus summons an entirely different npc while it's worn during summoning, and that npc's stats are predetermined by whatever the dev put in the DB.

The power increase from Anguish to Demi-Plane pet foci really doesn't match the power gain from other foci. But, as we all know, good luck getting the devs to change anything once it's live.

Time ran out during the DoD beta before this focus could be adequately tested, and because of luck (read: bad) with the RNG, the person who parsed the various foci to see how effective they were didn't get the belt til shortly before PoR went live. Problem there is, mages got Rathe's Strength, which affects all pets around the mage. Likely the devs view that as enough to bring the weak focus up to par, nevermind the fact that only 1 of the 3 pet classes has direct access to that aura.

Evaluating max hit is the worst way to evaluate a pet focus. Max hit is mostly there for eye candy, and means nothing (except on low con mobs, where pets will hit for max most of the time). Parsing is the only true way to evaluate a pet focus, as the majority of the power gain will be seen in the average hit.

Some tiers will also increase the level of the pet itself, which is good because I believe the level difference between pet and mob are used to calculate hits and things.

I don't have a bot army to con my pets though, so I couldn't tell you which ones raise levels etc.

OoW pets are base level 65.

- Summoner's Boon - No level increase
- Minion of Darkness - Increases level to 66 (I think... might be no level increase)
- Minion of Eternity - Increases level to 66
- Ritual Summoning - Increases level to 67
- Minion of Discord - Increases level to 67
- Servant of Chaos - Increases level to 68
- Spire Servant - Increases level to 68

Minion of Darkness will increase the level of Emmisary of Thule to the point of being a light blue con at 70. In my experience, Minion of Eternity does not focus EoT, contrary to what the Lucy info on that focus implies.

Last time I messed with MoH was like last fall sometime. In any case, the focus can theoretically increase our pet's survivability (a little) in some pet pulling cases.

Ok, I stand corrected. Talk about pet foci got me testing again. Minion of Hate does in fact summon a green EoT, as does Summoner's Boon. Minion of Darkness does still focus EoT, and that will summon a light blue pet. Minion of Eternity, however, doesn't focus the pet. Edited my post above to address the mal information.

What it all boils down to: hold onto those VT gloves (or pick up one of the DoN/RSS items with that focus).

Not to mention hold on to the Time book for the Tiny Companion clicky, or snag the stiletto from water, or the earring from Zun`Muram Tkarish Zyk. Have the book and earring in my collection, still need the stiletto. The book from Hate is still useful, of course. But, as mobs increase in level, the usefulness of that item (short of the clicky value) declines.

So when my pet focus went from ritual summoning to spire servant last week, my pet "dinged"?

I also went from (30) to (45)..which we don't really know what that means? My pet's max hit went up 3? Did hps, mitigation and avoidance get much better? How about hp regen?
