Nothing has changed on real servers, this thread is all about an emulation server with the old code set.

Originally, pet ate half xp if it did half of the damage. Then they changed it to 1 point of damage done by owner for full xp from the mob. I will go test to make certain, but I am almost certain that they attributed pet damage to owners now. Otherwise mobs would poof when pet gets kill if you are fd, and I have had my pet tanking and myself fd for many kills.

I thought they changed it from you have to do more than 50% dps to get full xp, to you have to do at least one point of dmg.

    They changed it again?

Pets use to take XP but that was changed. You're server if its actually 1999 should have pets eating XP. Enjoy

I think you have to do 1 pt of damage, or healing, or something - or else the pet takes 50%.

I have memory problems though, I might have that wrong.

    Pets and Experience Loss/Absorption

    Hi,

I'm a newly made, old-school necromancer. I'm on the Project 1999 Server, which I might add is absolutely amazing, and I was wondering if Pets absorb exp, or if anyone has a running list of all the changes that have been made through time regarding pets and exp loss. Thanks for your time and consideration beforehand.
