Exp locations for 95+

Been testing a couple of areas out using root rot (no pet/no merc) and overall the best exp depends on how focused you want to be at the time and how fast you are taking down mobs:

Location #1: Snakes pit outside of underground city in Shard's Landing. This exp spot is just before the frost coat area up on a ridge (pretty much a flat ledge with snakes all around it) which will give you a good area to view the surroundings. Most of the snakes here can be single pulled and give reasonable exp/aa's.

Location #2: Turtles/Croc's on the shore in Chelsith Reborn. Probably the easiest exp spot for 95+ since these do not agro, all are single pulls. Turtles have slightly higher resists but once debuffed its nbd. Can be chain pulled and gives better exp than snakes although higher hp requires good dot rotation.

Location #3: Bears/Snakes/Cyclones in Valley of King Xorbb. Just to the right of the portal (facing away from it) is an area with cyclones, bears and snakes that are all 98+. These give great exp per kill (highest of 3 locations), do not summon, can be snared, but are all aggressive so you have to be a bit more careful with pulls. Overall exp might be slower than the previous 2 because it is slightly more difficult to chain pull but it is the most exciting location.

For 95-97ish, I'd recommend the south side of Beast's domain, not to far from the Sarith zone-line. There is an excellent thread here somewhere that outlines that spot for perfect aggro kiting. At 95 I did 40ish AA lessons there not even pushing hard.

From 97+ I'd have to say Evantil, I mean that zone is just made to kite in...

I don't aggro kite like I do in BD. As soon as you zone, there is 5 mobs you can cast on in range. I just start root rotting (Snare, Scent, root, 6 dots. aggro another). Then I just move from there to the right, plenty of mobs not even 2 feet from the zone in. Here I regularly do 30+ AA lessons.

It's not about how fast you kill, but how fast you can get to another mob. Cast only enough dot's to kill it, and forget about it. The mob is already dead, you just wanna make more dead.

I camp the Glorig area for exp by rooting as many as I can and pet swarming the summoning mobs, this is all done solo (no merc).

Ya tried beast's domain for a bit but the monster lvl seemed kinda low for my taste. Evantil can be alright as long as you do not overextend and attempt to many kills before respawn, that being said it can be dangerous in some locations because of the roamers. Never tried kiting it, with nearly infinate many using death bloom i don't see it as being more efficient than root rot.

Kiting will be more exp by a fair margin. I personally don't do it anymore because I'm lazy and don't need the aa's.

Bonus of kiting, it you don't have to baby sit the mob's root. It saves time when you were casting root, to be grabbing another mob. You tend to get another AA or two out of a lesson doing it that way.

BD kite

Yea, Nice spot Staph. I forgot about that. It's a nice place to quad kite, safe and very open. The XP isn't bad at all. Staph is one of the top 3 Necros on the server. His 90k + dps is staggering. He knows all the great spots to XP. Nice to see you on the boards.

BD is still godly.

I like bats and bugs in plane of shadow, but I just root rot since it's just to make some death xp back and to have AAs for glyph. Probably not great for kiting.

I've been working the Orc Fort in EW Shard, exp isn't bad & the large open area outside the entrance to the fort is free of roamers, so that could prove a good kiting area. Must give the 95 Rogue pet a try there.

So far have tried quite a few spots and the xp was great at 96 but bd seemed to be the fastest because of the kill speed for the average geared leveler with no raid gear and around 2k aa. 97 the xp was still good in bd and I noticed a big damage jump from 96 soi may try another spot but might just stay bd until 98 and finish up in evantil to get100

Pretty much what I did, BD till 98 then went to Evantil.
