You are 100% correct about the bloodline in fact effecting every dot tick. Its exactly like the UF bp in that regard. I was wrong about that. That doesn't make you right about anything else!!!

However, my main point is you still keep showing above average runs of luck and claiming that every thing is, on average, still about the same after the nerf. Thats only true if you show a great necro parse verse an average parse of another burst class. I should not have to have 24% runs of twincast and/or proc the bloodline recourse at a 40% rate to put up 70-85% the burst of burst classes. I should be doing 85-90% of a bursting classes burst dps with runs like that, as we have always been capable off when things were equal. Hitting 45K with a great run of luck is not 70% of a burst class burst when with the same run of luck they can hit 65-70K.

Your data is confusing as shit. You only needed to run one dot to show how random the boost is from the bloodline recourses. Its 1-100% randomly, so on average its 50% with anything from 1-35% being ignored if you have a bard. So as I said, on average its still a lose of dps to use it over another dot under max burn. Its sort of an all or nothing deal. You can swing for the fences with it and if you get a good run of RNG you wtf pwn but you also can very easily muff with a crappy run of procs or crappy run of overfocus and do less damage. Look up the spells at best its 25% proc rate, casting 1 or 2 versions of that doesnt change the proc rate only the RNG can do that randomly, its not skill.

With the UF bp the point I was making to the other poster on the eqlive thread is its A) on demand with no loss of dps to cast and B) its a very tight overfocus boost 64-67% iirc on PoN.

Again I will link parses sometime tomorrow, but you can test it again yourself fggt.

Proc bloodline and only cast pyre of nos and watch the tics. You will get quite a wide variance in damage done both crit and non-crit, showing its 1-100 randomly. Then repeat with only the UF bp clicked, the max boost done is lower on PoN since its lvl 89 and UF bp has a 10% degrade, but it still will show you a very tight overfocus boost both crit and non crit, something like 64-67% for a lvl 89 spell or 97-100% for anything under 86.

Going on vacation for 2 weeks so can't participate in the blazing fire of debate between the mouth from the south and myself. But will try to post that parses I had showing my point tomorrow. In case you are to busy washing the sand out of you wizard sleeve to reparse.

Learn to read I said it sounded like you knew what you were doing but you failed to understand what was luck/out of the ordinary and what was average. You keep passing off the top 10% of RNG luck as your skill or magical know how. When in fact you are doing exactly what most necros are doing with similar gear its just you keep stating all is well look, whereas the others realize its out of ordinary and we in fact on average lost a ton of burst.

My whole debate with you is still this:

I say we lost relative burst on average for no reason what so ever and am trying to get the devs to undo the nerf or adjust something else to get us back to our 70-85% without needing redonkulous runs of RNG luck. Sustained we are the same with 16 dots, my only issue with this is not everyone has the opportunity to do this with the debuff cap.

You say, meh I can get to within 5K of where I was before the nerf (than you blew dick before the nerf) but ONLY WHEN I get a 24% twincast rate or when I get a proc that occurs 25% of the time to happen 40% of the time and then still get more RNG luck for the 1-100% focus to be better than the 50% average to put up the big boy numbers. You are getting basically 100% more of a boost from twincast or the bloodline than you should in order to put up a decent parse, which still falls short from what a burst class can do on average, and then claim play better. Your not doing anything special or teaching anyone anything, your just the retard shouting out look I can still get close to what I used to do very rarely so everything is fine.

When for years we were able to parse 70-80% without needing huge runs of luck. But when we did get those runs of luck we were able to get to 85-90% of what a burst class could do in a burst fight, when all things were realtively equal.

I still don't get what your point is, that we should be content maxing out in burst at 35-43K when everyone else can do 55-70K in the same situations?

I am talking for very short burst fights only. Where you don't have time to run 16 dots to make up the post nerf difference. Both burn and non burn.

Burning burst I am falling around 8-14K behind what I was capable of pre-nerf on fights in the 45-70 second range. This is totally because in a burst fight you can't make up for a 4.3K dot (rilfeds avg a tic damage) twincasting under max burn right at the start of a 1 minute fight with a 2.3K dot doing the same. Its half the damage for that dot in that time frame.

Then more like 6-10k difference in the 80-90 second range, as the stacking 16 starts to offset the nerf. However it still takes time for this late cast damage to offset the loss of upfront damage that the 2 tic dots provided.

After 90 seconds if you weave 16 you can negate the changes for the most part.

so youre asking for more burst than prenerf? khilara told me their necros hit 50k+ twice when he was there. those parses are rarer than 40k post nerf parses.

Stop listening to what other people tell you. My best parse pre-nerf was 49K and that was with some convo focus and missing a few rk 3 dots, there was a lot of room for improvement. But yes it was rare as shit but if the stars align like that (ie 20% twincast rate on a short fight) then we deserve to be 85-90% of what a burst class can do. Not a knock on anyone but just because they are in an end game guild does not mean they are the best at the class.

Not be 70% of what a burst class can do when the stars align and 50-60% on average. This is the part that changed and what I take issue with.

Post nerf I have hit 39K. The difference is I realize this is rare as shit and its 50% luck and 50% skill. You can have 2 necros with everything exactly equal including skill and one parses for 30k and one for 39K thats the RNG for you and yes no shit it applies to every class. But again 39K when the stars align is not impressive at all when other burst classes under the same circumstances with the same run of luck can hit 60-70K, thats my issue.

The part you keep failing to recognize. I don't want more dps then pre-nerf, I want my realtive position back. 50-60% on average and 70% stars aligned is not the realitive spot we have held. To be honest I don't even want the 2 tic dots back at this point on raids. I find the longer dots a bit easier to weave but since we opened this can of worms why not flag our 30 second dots to now each do say 200-300 more damage per tic on raid mobs only? We don't rely on 2 tic dots on raids so Aristo is happy, we don't rely on 2 tic dots in raids so Eli isn't worried about future AA lines blowing up the 2 tic dots, and we regain our relative postion without needing abnormal RNG runs.

I am not parsing shit to disprove you about the bloodline. This topic was debated years ago when the nuke first came to be. As I said when the stars align for you, you are correct that casting the bloodline over your last dot or two will give you a better max potential parse. But ON AVERAGE you are only going to proc at a 25% rate and on average you are only going to get a 50% boost (all while trading a 4.9-5.3k nuke for 900-1k dot that while under max burn is doing at least 3.8K a tic for a fuckton more base damage) so you will lose dps on average if the RNG runs normal or worse. It takes non average circumstances ie 40% proc rate and a more than 50% overfocus boost in order for the WTF big boy numbers.
