This is a direct quote from Umbrello, the creator of this site:
Just because this is the Inferno doesn't mean anything goes. Threads/posts here still can be locked, edited, or outright deleted if deemed necessary. This is a fairly rare occurence - but there are some things that do not belong on this board and do not fit in with the community here, and they will be removed or locked. Sorry if you think this is dictatorship, but it is not going to change.
Remember, the Inferno forum was only even created after the boards had been up and running for quite a while. It was never really meant to be an open place for chat, but more a dumping ground for posts from other forums that got out of hand - it evolved, sure, but it is not exempt from board rules.
Unfortunately, I am finding that the posts in this forum are holding more value than they should. There has been excessive acrimony between some posters and this forum seems to be encouraging it, even allowing it to grow into other forums, rather than limiting it. I am going to have to take a stronger hand in dealing with this.
If you don't agree with this, there are other boards you can visit for unlimited flameage. This site was created as an alternative to that.
1. No Flaming - All flame threads will be dumped into the flame bin, or "Inferno" forum where they will burn in flames for eternity, holding less value than a lost sock found after years of sitting in a dark dusty corner under your bed. If you flame a member beyond what we deem "acceptable" criticism, a staff member may edit your post and remove the comment in question.
